Important Safety Information

WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Read the installation, operating, and maintenance instructions thoroughly before installing or servicing this equipment.

Setup and Installation

Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully unpack the wood stove and inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Report any damage to your supplier immediately. Ensure all components are present according to the packing list.

Placement Requirements

The stove must be installed on a non-combustible floor or on a combustible floor protected by a non-combustible material extending beyond the stove's footprint. Consult local building codes and fire regulations for specific clearance requirements to combustible walls and materials. Ensure the floor can support the stove's weight (128 kg).

Flue Connection

The stove requires a flue pipe with a diameter of 150 mm. Ensure the flue system is correctly installed by a qualified professional and meets all local regulations. The flue must provide adequate draft for efficient combustion and safe operation.

Initial Burn-in

Before regular use, perform an initial burn-in to cure the paint and materials. Open windows and doors for ventilation during this process, as some smoke and odors may be emitted. Start with a small fire and gradually increase the heat over several hours. Avoid very hot fires during the first few uses.

Operating Instructions

Fuel Type

This stove is designed to burn dry, seasoned wood. Using unseasoned wood can lead to creosote buildup, reduced efficiency, and increased emissions. Do not use coal, charcoal, or any liquid fuels.

Loading Fuel

Open the firebox door slowly to prevent smoke spillage. Place wood logs into the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber dimensions are 222 x 460 x 330 mm (L x W x H).

Air Control

The stove features separate primary and secondary air supply controls for optimal energy efficiency. Adjust these controls to regulate the burn rate and heat output. Primary air is typically used for ignition and to boost a dying fire, while secondary air helps achieve a cleaner, more efficient burn.

Ignition

  1. Open the primary air control fully.
  2. Place crumpled paper or firelighters at the bottom of the firebox, topped with small kindling.
  3. Light the paper/firelighters.
  4. Once the kindling is burning well, add small pieces of wood.
  5. Once a good bed of coals is established, add larger logs and adjust air controls for desired heat output.

Oven Use

The integrated oven allows for cooking while the stove is in operation. The oven dimensions are 420 x 490 x 220 cm (L x W x H). Monitor the oven temperature using the built-in thermometer and adjust the fire intensity as needed. The oven features a glass door for viewing contents.

Maintenance

Ash Removal

Regularly remove ash from the ash drawer to maintain proper airflow and combustion efficiency. Allow the stove to cool completely before removing ash. The stove features a convenient pull-out ash drawer.

Cleaning the Glass

The firebox and oven doors feature glass panels. To clean, use a specialized glass cleaner for wood stoves when the stove is cold. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the glass.

Chimney and Flue Cleaning

Have your chimney and flue pipe inspected and cleaned by a qualified chimney sweep at least once a year, or more frequently depending on usage. This prevents creosote buildup, which can lead to chimney fires.

General Inspection

Periodically check all seals, gaskets, and connections for wear and tear. Replace any damaged parts to ensure airtight operation and prevent smoke leaks.
