Operating Instructions

Basic Weighing

  1. Power On: Turn on the scale using the ON/OFF button. Wait for the display to show "0.000" or "0.00".
  2. Place Item: Gently place the item to be weighed on the center of the stainless steel platter.
  3. Read Weight: The weight will be displayed on both the operator and customer-facing LCD screens.

Unit Switching (LB/KG)

  • To switch between pounds (LB) and kilograms (KG), press the LB/KG button. The display will indicate the currently selected unit.

Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or packaging, so only the net weight of the product is measured.

  1. Place Container: Place the empty container on the platter.
  2. Press Tare: Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.000" or "0.00", indicating the container's weight has been tared out.
  3. Add Product: Place the product into the container. The display will show only the weight of the product.
  4. Clear Tare: To clear the tare, remove the container from the platter and press the TARE button again.

Zero Function

The Zero function resets the scale to zero when there is no weight on the platter, compensating for minor fluctuations or debris.

  • If the display does not show "0.000" or "0.00" with nothing on the platter, press the ZERO button to reset it.

Price Computing

This scale automatically calculates the total price based on the weighed item and the entered unit price.

  1. Weigh Item: Place the item on the platter. The weight will be displayed.
  2. Enter Unit Price: Using the numeric keypad, enter the unit price (e.g., $2.50 per LB). The unit price will appear in the dedicated display segment.
  3. Read Total Price: The scale will automatically calculate and display the total price in the corresponding display segment.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Platter: The stainless steel platter is removable for easy cleaning. Use a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before placing it back on the scale.
  • Scale Body and Display: Wipe the scale body and display with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive water, as these can damage the electronics.
  • Ensure no liquids enter the internal components of the scale.

Battery Charging

  • The scale is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery. When the battery indicator shows low power, connect the scale to the power adapter and a wall outlet to charge.
  • Allow sufficient time for the battery to fully charge for optimal portable operation.

General Care

  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the scale to heavy impacts.
  • Do not overload the scale beyond its maximum capacity (30 LBS for this model).
  • Store the scale in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

  • Scale does not turn on:
    • Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the scale and the power outlet.
    • Ensure the built-in battery is charged. Connect to power and allow charging time.
  • Inaccurate readings:
    • Verify the scale is on a stable and level surface.
    • Ensure the platter is correctly seated and not obstructed.
    • Check for any debris under or around the platter.
    • Perform a Zero operation if the display is not at zero with nothing on the platter.
    • Avoid placing items off-center on the platter.
  • Display shows error message:
    • Refer to the specific error code in the full product manual (if available) or try restarting the scale.
    • An "OVERLOAD" message indicates the weight limit has been exceeded. Remove the item immediately.
  • Unit price or total price not calculating:
    • Ensure a unit price has been correctly entered using the keypad.
    • Verify that an item is placed on the platter and its weight is registered.
