2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The AVINIA Digital Kitchen Timer is powered by 3 AAA batteries. To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the timer.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2 Initial Power On
After installing the batteries, the timer should automatically display '00:00'. If not, press the central button on the display to activate it.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Setting the Timer (Countdown)
To set a countdown time (0-99 minutes):
- Rotate the outer ring clockwise to increase the time. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease.
- A slow rotation adjusts seconds. A rapid rotation (greater than 60 degrees) adjusts minutes.
- Once the desired time is displayed, press the central button to start the countdown.
- To pause or resume the countdown, press the central button again.

3.2 Using as a Stopwatch (Count-up)
To use the timer as a stopwatch:
- Ensure the display shows '00:00'. If not, press and hold the central button to reset it.
- Press the central button once to start the count-up.
- To pause or resume the count-up, press the central button again.
3.3 Adjusting Brightness
The timer offers three levels of brightness: Constant Brightness Mode, Dim Mode, and Light Off. A switch on the back of the timer controls these settings. Slide the switch to your preferred brightness level.

3.4 Adjusting Alarm Volume
The timer features three alarm sound levels, from silent to 90dB. A switch on the back of the timer allows you to select the desired volume or mute the alarm entirely. This ensures the alarm is audible even in another room, or silent for quiet environments.

3.5 Resetting the Timer
To reset the timer to '00:00', press and hold the central button for a few seconds.

5. Maintenance
