Setup

1. Setting the Time:

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2 (farthest out). The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set if your watch has a 24-hour indicator or date changes at midnight.
  3. Push the crown back into position 0 (normal position). The second hand will resume movement.

2. Setting the Date:

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1 (first click).
  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the date.
  3. Once the correct date is displayed, push the crown back into position 0.
  4. Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this window, adjust the date, then reset the time.

3. Strap Adjustment:

The beige leather strap can be adjusted by selecting the appropriate hole for your wrist size. Ensure the watch fits snugly but comfortably, allowing for proper blood circulation.

Operating the Chronograph

Your Timberland TDWGF2102603 watch is equipped with a chronograph function for measuring elapsed time.

Standard Measurement:

  1. Start: Press pusher A to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
  2. Stop: Press pusher A again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands.
  3. Reset: Press pusher B to reset the chronograph hands to their zero positions.

Accumulated Elapsed Time Measurement:

  1. Start: Press pusher A to start the chronograph.
  2. Stop: Press pusher A to stop the chronograph and read the first elapsed time.
  3. Restart: Press pusher A again to restart the chronograph. The chronograph will resume timing from where it left off.
  4. Stop: Press pusher A to stop the chronograph and read the accumulated elapsed time.
  5. Reset: Press pusher B to reset the chronograph hands to zero.

Split Time Measurement (if applicable, based on watch movement):

Note: Not all chronographs support split time. Refer to specific movement documentation if available. For general chronographs:

  1. Start: Press pusher A to start the chronograph.
  2. Split: Press pusher B to measure a split time. The chronograph hands will stop to indicate the split time, while internal timing continues.
  3. Release Split: Press pusher B again to release the split time. The chronograph hands will instantly catch up to the ongoing elapsed time.
  4. Stop: Press pusher A to stop the chronograph.
  5. Reset: Press pusher B to reset the chronograph hands to zero.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning:

Wipe the watch case and mineral glass with a soft, dry cloth. For the leather strap, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap if necessary, then wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Water Resistance (5 ATM / 50 Meters):

Your watch is water resistant up to 5 ATM (50 meters). This means it is suitable for everyday use, such as accidental splashes, rain, and short periods of recreational swimming. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

Battery Replacement:

The watch is powered by a quartz movement requiring one battery. When the battery runs low, the watch may stop or the second hand may jump in irregular intervals (End-of-Life indicator). Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.

Strap Care:

Leather straps are susceptible to wear and tear from moisture, sweat, and direct sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct sunlight to prevent damage and discoloration. Clean the strap regularly and allow it to air dry if it gets wet.
