Setting Your Combination Code

Your GRIFEMA GA1002 padlock comes with a factory default combination of 0-0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your personalized code:

1. Ensure the padlock is open and set to the default code 0-0-0-0. Pull up the shackle.
2. Rotate the shackle 90 degrees counter-clockwise (or clockwise, depending on the model) until it aligns with the code setting gap on the padlock body.
3. Press the shackle down firmly until the tiny pin is fully inside the gap.
4. While holding the shackle down, rotate it another 90 degrees in the same direction. The shackle should now be in a horizontal position, locked down.
5. With the shackle held in this position, scroll the number dials to set your desired 4-digit combination. Choose a memorable code.
6. Once your new code is set, turn the shackle back 90 degrees to its original upright position. Release the shackle; it should pop up.
7. Scramble the dials to lock the padlock. Test your new combination to ensure it opens correctly before securing any valuables.

Important: Please remember your new combination. There is no master key or override function to reset the code if forgotten.
