2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

• ETL Listed Safety Protection: This device is ETL and FCC certified, providing protection against overload, voltage spikes, and short circuits.
• Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 10 Amps / 120 Volts.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your GHome Smart WP9 Power Strip:

1. Download the GHome App: Search for "GHome" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and download the official GHome app.
2. Register/Log In: Open the app and create a new account or log in with an existing one.
3. Connect to Power: Plug your GHome Smart WP9 Power Strip into a standard 120V AC wall outlet. The indicator light on the power strip should start blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode. If not, press and hold the power button for 5-10 seconds until it blinks rapidly.
4. Add Device in App: In the GHome app, tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" to begin the pairing process. Select "Power Strip" or the appropriate device type.
5. Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The GHome Smart Power Strip supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted in the app.
6. Complete Pairing: Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the pairing. Once connected, the indicator light on the power strip will turn solid.
7. Integrate with Voice Assistants: To use voice control, link your GHome account with Alexa or Google Home through their respective apps. Detailed instructions are provided in the video below.

5. Operating Instructions

Once your GHome Smart WP9 Power Strip is set up, you can control it in several ways:

5.1. App Control

The GHome app provides comprehensive control over your power strip:

• Individual Outlet Control: In the app, you will see separate controls for each of the 3 AC outlets. Tap to turn them on or off independently.
• USB Port Control: The 3 USB ports are controlled as a single unit. Tap the USB control to turn all USB ports on or off.
• Scheduling: Use the scheduling feature to set specific times for outlets or USB ports to turn on or off automatically. This is ideal for lights, coffee makers, or other routine appliances.
• Timers: Set countdown timers for devices to switch off after a specified duration.
• Group Control: If you have multiple GHome smart devices, you can create groups in the app to control them simultaneously with a single command.

5.2. Voice Control

After linking your GHome account to Alexa or Google Home, you can use voice commands:

• Alexa Commands: Say "Alexa, turn on [device name]" or "Alexa, turn off [device name]".
• Google Assistant Commands: Say "Hey Google, turn on [device name]" or "Hey Google, turn off [device name]".
• Ensure you have assigned clear, recognizable names to your devices in the GHome app or Alexa/Google Home app for optimal voice control.

5.3. Manual Control

The power strip also features a physical power button:

• Main Power Button: Press the main power button on the top of the power strip to turn all connected AC outlets and USB ports on or off simultaneously.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your GHome Smart WP9 Power Strip, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Disconnect the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the power strip in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and the device for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires or cracks. If damage is found, discontinue use and contact support.
• Avoid Overloading: Do not connect devices that exceed the maximum electrical ratings of the power strip.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your GHome Smart WP9 Power Strip, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The device does not support 5 GHz networks.
  • Check that your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the GHome app.
  • Move the power strip closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and try pairing again.
  • Reset the power strip by unplugging it for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
• Voice control not working:
  • Verify that your GHome account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home app.
  • Ensure the device names in the GHome app match the names you are using for voice commands.
  • Check the internet connection of your voice assistant device.
• Outlets not responding:
  • Check if the main power button on the power strip is pressed.
  • Verify the device is receiving power from the wall outlet.
  • Ensure the individual outlet is turned on in the GHome app.
  • If an overload occurs, the power strip's surge protection may have activated. Unplug devices, reset the power strip, and reconnect.
