Image 4.1: Detail of the control knobs and LED indicator on the heater.

Control Knobs:

  • Top Knob (Power/Mode Selector): This knob controls the fan and heating elements. Rotate it to select the desired mode:
    • O (Off): Turns the heater off.
    • Fan Only: Activates the fan without heat (cool air).
    • 1 (Warm): Activates the fan with 1000W heating (warm air).
    • 2 (Hot): Activates the fan with 2000W heating (hot air).
  • Bottom Knob (Thermostat Control): This knob adjusts the desired room temperature. Rotate it clockwise to increase the temperature setting and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature.

Operation Steps:

  1. Ensure the heater is securely plugged into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Turn the Top Knob (Power/Mode Selector) to your desired setting (Fan Only, 1000W Warm, or 2000W Hot). The red LED indicator will illuminate when the heater is powered on.
  3. Adjust the Bottom Knob (Thermostat Control) to your preferred temperature. For continuous heating, turn the thermostat knob to its maximum setting. For automatic temperature control, set it to a comfortable level; the heater will then switch on and off to maintain this temperature.
  4. To turn off the heater, rotate the Top Knob (Power/Mode Selector) to the 'O' (Off) position.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your heater.

Before Cleaning:

  • Always turn off the heater and unplug it from the power outlet.
  • Allow the heater to cool down completely before cleaning.

Cleaning the Exterior:

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or solvents, as these may damage the plastic body.
  • Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.

Cleaning the Air Vents:

  • Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint from the air intake and exhaust vents.
  • Keeping the vents clear is crucial for efficient operation and to prevent overheating.

Storage:

  • If storing the heater for an extended period, clean it thoroughly.
  • Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and damage.

6. Troubleshooting

Refer to this section for common issues and their solutions.

Heater does not turn on:

  • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is functioning by plugging in another appliance.
  • Verify that the Power/Mode Selector knob is set to a heating or fan-only position (not 'O').
  • The overheat protection may have been activated. Unplug the heater, let it cool down for 30 minutes, then plug it back in and try again.

Burning smell during initial use:

  • It is normal to experience a slight burning smell when you run your room heater for the first time. This is due to the motor varnish getting heated. This issue should not recur in subsequent usage.
  • If the smell persists after several uses, or if it is strong and accompanied by smoke, immediately unplug the heater and contact customer support.

Heater produces cool air only:

  • Ensure the Power/Mode Selector knob is set to '1' (Warm) or '2' (Hot), not 'Fan Only'.
  • Check the thermostat setting. If it's set too low, the heating elements may not activate. Increase the thermostat setting.

Heater cycles on and off too frequently:

  • This is typically due to the thermostat maintaining the set temperature. If it's cycling too rapidly, try adjusting the thermostat to a slightly lower setting.
  • Ensure the air intake and exhaust vents are not blocked, as this can cause the overheat protection to activate prematurely.
