1. Product Overview
The Govee Hygrometer Thermometer H5100 is a compact Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor designed for accurate environmental monitoring. It offers smart alert notifications, extensive data storage, and can connect to a Govee Wi-Fi Gateway (H5151) for remote access.

- Data Storage & Export: Our free cloud service allows for 2-year data storage and export. Keep track of recent temperature and humidity records via curve graphs and track your historic 2-year data in a CSV file.
2. Setup Guide
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the hygrometer sensor (H5100) and any accompanying accessories are present and undamaged.

2.2 Installing the Sensor
The H5100 sensor is designed to be compact and discreet. It can be placed in various locations such as potted plants, reptile vivariums, or other small spaces where temperature and humidity monitoring is desired.

2.3 Connecting to the Govee Home App
- Download the Govee Home App from your device's app store (iOS or Android).
- Open the app and create an account or log in.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your H5100 device. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- For remote monitoring beyond Bluetooth range, connect the H5100 to a Govee Wi-Fi Gateway (H5151, sold separately). The gateway plugs into a standard wall outlet and extends the sensor's connectivity via Wi-Fi.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Monitoring Temperature and Humidity
Once connected, the Govee Home App provides real-time temperature and humidity readings from your H5100 sensor. The Swiss-made sensors ensure high accuracy:
- Temperature Accuracy: ±0.54℉ / ±0.3℃
- Working Temperature Range: -4℉ to 140℉
- Humidity Accuracy: ±3%RH
- Working Humidity Range: 0% - 99%RH

3.2 Smart Alert Notifications
Set custom temperature and humidity ranges within the Govee Home App. If readings fall outside these preset ranges, you will receive an immediate notification on your smartphone, allowing for timely intervention.
3.3 Data Storage and Export
The Govee Home App provides access to up to 2 years of historical temperature and humidity data. This data can be viewed as curve graphs within the app or exported as a CSV file for further analysis.

4. Maintenance
The Govee H5100 Hygrometer Thermometer is designed for low maintenance. Keep the sensor clean and free from dust or debris to ensure accurate readings. The device operates on batteries, which have a long lifespan, often lasting up to a year or more depending on usage and reporting frequency settings.
When replacing batteries, ensure to use high-quality, reliable batteries for optimal performance and longevity. The device is built to be sturdy and durable for long-term use.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Connectivity Issues
If you experience difficulty connecting the sensor to the Govee Home App:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the sensor is within range (up to 230 feet).
- Verify that the Govee Home App is updated to the latest version.
- If using a Govee Wi-Fi Gateway (H5151), ensure it is properly plugged in and connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Restart the Govee Home App or your smartphone.
- If issues persist, try creating a Govee account if you haven't already, as some app functionalities and device connections may be optimized with an account.
5.2 Inaccurate Readings
If you suspect inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the sensor's vents are not obstructed by dust, debris, or placement against a surface.
- Allow the sensor sufficient time (at least 30 minutes) to stabilize after placement or significant environmental changes.
- Avoid placing the sensor in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with extreme drafts, as these can affect accuracy.
