1. Introduction

The SPACETALK Adventurer Smartwatch is designed for children, offering advanced safety features, reliable connectivity, and essential communication tools. This device combines a 4G phone, GPS tracker, and a 5MP camera, all within a splashproof and durable design. It requires a separate mobile plan for full functionality.

Key features include:

• 4G Connectivity: For phone and video calling, SMS, and secure chat.
• Real-time GPS: Location tracking and safe zone alerts.
• 5MP Camera: For capturing moments.
• Health & Fitness Tracking: Steps and heart rate monitoring.
• School Mode: To minimize distractions during school hours.

3. Setup

Before using your SPACETALK Adventurer Smartwatch, follow these steps to ensure proper setup:

1. Insert SIM Card: Refer to the 'Getting Started' Guide for detailed instructions on inserting the provided Spacetalk Mobile SIM card. A mobile plan is required for the watch's communication features.
2. Charge the Device: Connect the smartwatch to the charging dock and then to a power source using the USB-C cable. Ensure the watch is fully charged before first use.
3. Download the Spacetalk App: Install the official Spacetalk app on your smartphone. This app is essential for managing the smartwatch, including contacts, settings, and location tracking.
4. Pair the Smartwatch: Follow the on-screen instructions in the Spacetalk app to pair your smartphone with the Adventurer Smartwatch.

4. Operating the Smartwatch

4.1 Communication (Calls & Messages)

The Adventurer Smartwatch supports 4G phone and video calling, SMS, and secure encrypted chat. Only contacts approved via the parental app can communicate with the watch.

4.1.1 Creating a New Contact

To add new contacts to the smartwatch, use the Spacetalk app on your smartphone. You can either add a new contact manually or import from your address book.

4.2 Location Tracking (GPS)

The smartwatch features real-time GPS for location awareness. Parents can monitor their child's location and set up safe zones through the Spacetalk app. SOS alerts provide additional peace of mind.

4.2.1 Find My Spacetalk Feature

If the smartwatch is misplaced, you can use the 'Find My Spacetalk' feature in the app to make it ring at full volume, vibrate, and increase brightness.

4.3 School Mode

School Mode allows parents to control smartwatch settings during school hours, enabling distraction-free learning by disabling certain features.

4.4 Customization (Watch Face & Wallpaper)

Personalize the smartwatch by changing the watch face and wallpaper through the Spacetalk app.

The Adventurer Smartwatch features a tough Gorilla Glass screen for exceptional damage resistance and a soft, comfortable silicone strap.

5.2 Health and Fitness Tracking

Monitor activity levels with a step counter and heart rate monitoring. These features encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.

5.3 No Social Media or Open Internet

The smartwatch is designed to be a safe communication device for children, intentionally excluding social media apps and open internet browsing to protect them from inappropriate content and online risks.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Wipe the smartwatch and strap with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.2 Water Resistance

The device is water resistant with an IP67 rating, meaning it can withstand immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It is suitable for splashes and brief immersion but not recommended for swimming or showering.

6.3 Battery Care

The battery has an average life of 36 hours and takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge. Use only the provided charging dock and USB-C cable. Avoid extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Network Connectivity Issues

If the watch displays "no service" or has difficulty connecting to the network:

• Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a mobile plan.
• Restart the watch.
• Check the cellular and data status via the watch settings.

7.2 Charging Difficulties

If the watch is not charging:

• Ensure the charging dock is properly aligned with the watch's charging pins.
• Verify the USB-C cable and power adapter are functioning correctly.
• Check for any debris or damage to the charging ports on both the watch and the dock.

7.3 Touchscreen Unresponsive

If the touchscreen is not responding as expected:

• Restart the device.
• Ensure the screen is clean and dry.
• If a screen protector is installed, ensure it is correctly applied and not interfering with touch sensitivity.
