  5. Fill with Water: Remove the tank from the machine, fill it with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX fill line, and then reinsert it securely.
  6. Plug In Machine: Once the tank is securely in place and filled, you may plug your coffee machine back into the power outlet.

5. Operating the Water Tank

The water tank is designed for straightforward use as part of your coffee machine's operation.

5.1. Filling the Water Tank

  1. Grasp the water tank by its handle and lift it out of the coffee machine.
  2. Open the lid (if applicable) or fill directly through the top opening.
  3. Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water. Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated on the tank. The capacity is approximately 1 Litre.
  4. Carefully place the filled water tank back into its position in the coffee machine, ensuring it is fully seated.

5.2. Monitoring Water Level

The transparent design of the tank allows for easy monitoring of the water level. Refill the tank when the water level is low to prevent the machine from running dry, which can damage the pump.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the water tank is crucial for hygiene and to ensure the best taste for your coffee.

6.1. Daily Cleaning

  • After each use or at the end of the day, empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Rinse the tank thoroughly with fresh, clean water.
  • Allow the tank to air dry or wipe it with a clean, soft cloth before refilling.

6.2. Weekly Cleaning

  • Remove the water tank from the machine.
  • Wash the tank with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap.
  • Use a soft brush or sponge to clean the interior, paying attention to corners and crevices.
  • Rinse thoroughly multiple times to ensure no soap residue remains.
  • Do not wash the water tank in a dishwasher, as high temperatures can deform the plastic.

6.3. Descaling

While the water tank itself does not require descaling, it is important to regularly descale your coffee machine according to its specific instruction manual. Using filtered water in the tank can help reduce limescale buildup in the machine.
