1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the tepro Chicago Table Gas Grill. This compact and portable gas grill is designed for convenient outdoor cooking, perfect for your garden, balcony, terrace, or camping trips. 4. Setup and Assembly

The tepro Chicago grill is delivered as a kit and requires assembly. Follow the instructions carefully.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully unpack all components and check against the parts list to ensure nothing is missing or damaged.
  2. Leg Assembly: Attach the foldable stainless steel legs to the main grill body using the provided screws. Ensure they are securely fastened and can fold/unfold smoothly.
  3. Grease Drip Tray: Slide the grease drip tray into its designated slot at the bottom of the grill. Ensure it is properly seated for easy removal and cleaning.
  4. Grilling Grate: Place the stainless steel grilling grate onto the supports inside the grill chamber.
  5. Lid and Handle: Attach the lid handle to the lid if it's not pre-assembled. Ensure the lid opens and closes smoothly and the thermometer is securely in place.
  6. Gas Connection:
    • Connect the provided gas hose to the grill's gas inlet.
    • Attach the pressure reducer to the other end of the gas hose.
    • Connect the pressure reducer to a standard 5 kg or 11 kg gas cylinder. Ensure all connections are tight.
    • Perform a leak test: Apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Tighten connections or replace faulty parts. Do not use the grill if a leak is detected.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Before First Use

Before cooking for the first time, operate the grill on high heat for about 15 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. Ensure good ventilation during this process.

5.2. Ignition

  1. Ensure the gas cylinder valve is open.
  2. Push in and turn one of the control knobs to the HIGH position (or ignition symbol).
  3. The integrated piezo ignition will spark, igniting the burner. If it doesn't ignite within 5 seconds, turn the knob off, wait 5 minutes, and try again.
  4. Once ignited, you can adjust the flame intensity by turning the control knob between HIGH and LOW.
  5. Repeat for the second burner if desired.

5.3. Grilling

The tepro Chicago grill offers a grilling surface of approximately 47.5 x 35 cm, suitable for various foods.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your grill and ensure safe operation.

7. Troubleshooting
