Operating Instructions
1. Basic Scanning Operation
- Ensure the scanner is connected to your device via your preferred method (Wired, 2.4G Wireless, or Bluetooth).
- Open an application where you want the scanned data to appear (e.g., Notepad, Word document, POS software).
- Point the scanner's window at the barcode you wish to scan. Ensure the red scanning line covers the entire barcode.
- Press the trigger button. The scanner will emit a light beam and a successful scan will be indicated by a beep and/or a green light.
- The scanned data will appear in your open application.
2. Scanning Modes
The NT-1228BL supports multiple scanning modes:

- Automatic Continuous Reading Mode: The scanner continuously emits a beam and scans barcodes without pressing the trigger. Useful for high-volume scanning.
- Automatic Detection Mode: The scanner activates the beam and scans when a barcode is detected within its field of view.
Refer to the included programming barcodes in the quick start guide to switch between these modes.
3. Data Storage (Offline Mode)
When the scanner is out of range or disconnected, it can store scanned barcodes internally. To activate storage mode, scan the appropriate programming barcode. Once reconnected, scan the "Upload Data" barcode to transmit all stored data to your device.
The scanner can store approximately 130,000 Code128 barcodes in offline mode.

- Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the scanner regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period.
