5. Setup
- Attach to T-Post:
Slide the sprinkler's mounting bracket over the top of a standard metal T-post. Ensure the sprinkler is seated firmly on the post. The bracket is designed to fit securely.
- Secure the Sprinkler:
Tighten the screws on the side of the mounting bracket to firmly secure the sprinkler to the T-post. This prevents movement during operation.
- Connect Water Hose:
Attach a standard garden hose to the inlet connection at the base of the sprinkler. Hand-tighten the connection to prevent leaks. Ensure a washer is properly seated in the hose connection.
- Positioning:
Place the T-post with the attached sprinkler in the desired watering area. Consider the sprinkler's coverage area (up to 85 feet diameter) when positioning.
6. Operating Instructions
- Turn on Water Supply:
Slowly turn on the water supply to the hose. Observe the sprinkler's operation.
- Adjust Spray Coverage (Partial to 360°):
The sprinkler features adjustable stops on the base of the sprinkler head. To set a partial watering pattern, move the two metal clips to the desired start and end points of the spray arc. For continuous 360° watering, move both clips out of the way or to their widest setting.
- Adjust Spray Distance/Radius (20 to 42 feet):
The diffuser screw located on the top of the sprinkler head can be adjusted to change the spray distance. Turning the screw clockwise will decrease the spray distance, while turning it counter-clockwise will increase it. The deflector shield can also be used to fine-tune the stream and distance.
- Adjust Water Stream:
The deflector shield can be flipped up or down to alter the trajectory and pattern of the water stream. Experiment with its position to achieve the desired spray.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning Nozzle: Periodically check the sprinkler nozzle for debris or mineral buildup. If clogged, turn off the water, remove the sprinkler head (if possible), and clean the nozzle with a small brush or pin.
- Winterization: Before the first frost, disconnect the sprinkler from the hose and drain all water from the unit. Store the sprinkler in a dry, protected area to prevent freeze damage.
- Inspect Connections: Regularly check hose connections and T-post attachment for tightness and wear. Replace worn washers as needed.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Sprinkler not rotating or rotating slowly. | Low water pressure, clogged nozzle, or debris in the sprinkler mechanism. | Check water pressure. Clean the nozzle and internal components. Ensure no obstructions are impeding rotation. |
| Uneven spray pattern or reduced distance. | Clogged nozzle, incorrect diffuser screw setting, or low water pressure. | Clean the nozzle. Adjust the diffuser screw. Verify adequate water pressure. |
| Water leaking from connections. | Loose connection, worn washer, or damaged hose. | Tighten hose connections. Replace worn rubber washers. Inspect hose for damage. |
| Sprinkler detaches from T-post. | Mounting screws are loose or T-post is not standard size. | Ensure mounting screws are securely tightened. Verify T-post compatibility. |
