5. Maintenance
5.1. Water Resistance
Your Dakota Digital Clip Watch is rated 100 feet (3 ATM) water resistant. This means it is protected against splashes, rain, and accidental immersion in shallow water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or prolonged exposure to water pressure. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet to prevent water ingress.

5.2. Cleaning
To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish or internal components.
5.3. Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, it's time to replace the AA battery. We recommend having battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
6. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: Check the battery. Replace if necessary. Ensure the battery is inserted with correct polarity.
- Time is inaccurate: Reset the time and date following the instructions in Section 4.1. If the issue persists after a new battery, contact customer support.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a standard feature for this model). Try a soft reset by removing and reinserting the battery. If the problem continues, contact customer support.
- Water inside the watch: Immediately cease use and take the watch to a professional for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
