3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

The Dakota Digital Clip Watch requires 1 AA battery. To install or replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the watch.

3. Insert the AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Setting Time and Date (Digital Display)

1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button until the time setting mode is displayed (often indicated by flashing digits).
2. Press the SET button to select the digit or setting you wish to adjust (e.g., hours, minutes, year, month, day).
3. Use the START/STOP button to increase the value. Hold to rapidly advance.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired settings are correct.

4.2. Using the Alarm Function

1. Press the MODE button until the alarm time is displayed.
2. Press the SET button to select the hour or minute digits.

4.3. Stopwatch Function

1. Press the MODE button until the stopwatch display (00:00:00) appears.
2. Press START/STOP to start the stopwatch.
3. Press START/STOP again to pause/stop.
4. Press LIGHT/RESET to reset the stopwatch to zero.

4.4. Timer Function

1. Press the MODE button until the timer display appears.
2. Press SET to adjust the desired countdown time (hours, minutes, seconds) using the START/STOP button.
3. Press MODE to confirm the set time.
4. Press START/STOP to begin the countdown.
5. The timer will alert you when it reaches zero. Press LIGHT/RESET to stop the alert and reset the timer.

4.5. Dual Time Function

This feature allows you to track a second time zone.

1. Press the MODE button until the dual time display appears (often labeled 'T2' or similar).
2. Press SET to enter the setting mode for the dual time.
3. Adjust the hours and minutes using the START/STOP button.
4. Press MODE to exit the setting mode.

4.6. Light Function

Press the LIGHT/RESET button to illuminate the digital display for a few seconds, improving visibility in low-light conditions.

4.7. Carabiner Clip Usage

The integrated carabiner clip allows you to attach the watch to various items for hands-free access.

1. Open the carabiner gate by pressing the spring-loaded mechanism.

4.8. Compass Usage

The watch includes a small compass. While it provides a general directional indication, it is primarily a decorative feature. For precise navigation, always rely on a dedicated, high-quality compass or GPS device.

5.1. Water Resistance

Your Dakota Digital Clip Watch is rated 100 feet (3 ATM) water resistant. This means it is protected against splashes, rain, and accidental immersion in shallow water. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or prolonged exposure to water pressure. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet to prevent water ingress.
