4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Physical Installation
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable outdoor location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within range of your WiFi network. Ensure the camera is protected from direct impact.
- Mount the Camera: Use the provided mounting screws to securely attach the camera's bracket to a wall or ceiling.
- Adjust Angle: Loosen the bracket screws to adjust the camera's angle as needed, then tighten them to secure the position.
4.2 Power Connection
Connect the provided power adapter to the camera's power port and then plug it into a power outlet. The camera will power on and initiate its startup sequence.
4.3 App Installation
- Download App: Search for "SriHome" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) and download the official application.
- Register Account: Open the SriHome app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new user account.
4.4 Network Configuration
There are two primary methods to connect your camera to the network:
Method 1: WiFi Connection (Recommended)
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi network you intend to use for the camera.
- In the SriHome app, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Select "Add Device by WiFi" and follow the prompts to enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and password.
- The app will generate a QR code. Position your phone's screen in front of the camera lens (approx. 15-30 cm away) until you hear a confirmation sound from the camera.
- Once connected, the camera will appear in your device list in the app.
Method 2: AP Hotspot Connection (Direct Connection)
This method allows direct connection to the camera's built-in WiFi hotspot without a router, useful for initial setup or when a router is unavailable.
- Power on the camera. Wait for it to broadcast its own WiFi hotspot (usually named "AP_xxxxxx").
- On your mobile device, go to WiFi settings and connect to the camera's AP hotspot. The default password is often 12345678.
- Open the SriHome app, tap "+" and select "Add Device by AP Hotspot".
- The app will detect the camera. Follow the instructions to add it.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View
Once the camera is added to the SriHome app, tap on the camera's name in the device list to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage from your camera anywhere with an internet connection.
5.2 Two-Way Audio
The camera supports two-way audio communication. In the live view interface, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker, and listen through your phone's speaker to audio captured by the camera's microphone.
5.3 Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) Control
For models with PTZ functionality, use the directional controls within the live view interface of the SriHome app to remotely pan (rotate horizontally) and tilt (rotate vertically) the camera lens. The camera also supports 3x digital zoom, which can be controlled by pinching the screen.
5.4 Recording and Playback
The camera supports recording to a microSD card (up to 128GB, not included) or an NVR (Network Video Recorder). Recordings can be accessed and played back through the SriHome app.
