2. Setup Guide

2.1 Connecting the Receiver

Follow these steps to connect your GTMEDIA V7 Pro receiver to your television and antenna/satellite dish:

  1. Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the 'DC 12V' port on the rear panel of the receiver and then plug it into a power outlet.
  2. HDMI Connection: Use the HDMI cable to connect the 'HD OUT' port on the receiver to an available HDMI input on your television. Note the HDMI input number on your TV.
  3. Satellite Connection (for DVB-S/S2/S2X): Connect your satellite dish cable to the 'LNB IN' port on the receiver.
  4. Terrestrial Antenna Connection (for DVB-T/T2): Connect your terrestrial antenna cable to the 'ANT IN' port on the receiver.

2.2 First-Time Power On and Initial Setup

  • Channel Management: From the main menu, navigate to 'Channel Manager' to organize your channels. Options include creating favorite lists (up to 16 groups), moving, locking, skipping, deleting, renaming, searching, and sorting channels.
  • Parental Control: Set up a parental control PIN in the system settings to restrict access to certain channels or menu functions.
  • PVR (Personal Video Recorder): Connect a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive or external hard drive) to record TV programs. Access PVR functions via the 'PVR' button or menu. You can record one channel while watching another on the same transponder.
  • Multimedia Playback: The USB ports support playback of various media files (video, audio, photos) from a connected USB storage device.
