- Electrical Safety: Ensure the refrigerator is connected to a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove the ground prong. Do not use an adapter.
- Child Safety: Do not allow children to play in, on, or around the refrigerator. Proper supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.

Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the performance and longevity of your refrigerator.
1. Unpacking
Remove all packaging materials, tape, and protective film from the refrigerator. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
2. Location Requirements
Place the refrigerator on a strong, level floor. Allow the following clearances for proper air circulation and door opening:
- Sides: 3/8 inch (10 mm)
- Top: 1 inch (25 mm)
- Back: 1 inch (25 mm)
Avoid placing the refrigerator near heat sources like ovens, radiators, or direct sunlight. Ensure the room temperature is between 55°F (13°C) and 110°F (43°C).
3. Leveling
Use a level to ensure the refrigerator is level. Adjust the front leveling legs by turning them clockwise to raise or counter-clockwise to lower the unit. The front should be slightly higher than the back to allow the doors to close easily.
4. Electrical Connection
Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated 115 Volt, 60 Hz, AC only, 15-amp or 20-amp fused, grounded electrical supply. Do not use an extension cord.
5. Initial Cleaning
Before first use, clean the interior of the refrigerator with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
6. Initial Power-On
After plugging in, allow the refrigerator to operate for several hours (at least 4 hours) before placing food inside. This allows the interior to cool down to the set temperature.

Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the controls and features of your refrigerator.
1. Temperature Control
The temperature controls for both the freezer and fresh food compartments are located inside the refrigerator. The fresh food compartment features a dial or slider for temperature adjustment, often labeled from 'Cold' to 'Coldest' with a 'Recommended' setting. The freezer temperature is typically adjusted in conjunction with the fresh food control or via a separate air vent control.

Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and extends the life of your refrigerator.

Clean the interior regularly with a solution of 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart (1.14 liters) of warm water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh detergents. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
2. Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a clean, soft cloth and mild soap and water. For smudge-proof stainless steel, use a stainless steel cleaner specifically designed for appliances. Always wipe in the direction of the grain.
3. Door Gaskets
Clean door gaskets regularly with a mild soap and water solution to ensure a proper seal. A clean gasket helps maintain energy efficiency.
4. Air Filter Replacement
Your refrigerator may be equipped with an air filter to reduce odors. Refer to the control panel (Figure 2) for the 'Air Filter' indicator. When the indicator illuminates, replace the filter and press and hold the 'Hold to Reset' button to reset the indicator.
5. Defrosting
This refrigerator features an automatic defrost system, eliminating the need for manual defrosting of the freezer compartment.
Troubleshooting
Before calling for service, review this section for common issues and their solutions.
- Refrigerator Not Operating: Check if the power cord is plugged in, the circuit breaker is tripped, or the temperature control is set to 'OFF'.
- Temperatures Too Warm: Ensure the temperature control is set correctly. Check if the door is frequently opened or left ajar. Verify that the refrigerator is not overloaded with warm food.
- Unusual Noises: Normal operating sounds include a slight hum from the compressor, fan motor sounds, and gurgling from refrigerant flow. Loud or unusual noises may indicate an issue with leveling or internal components.
- Water on Floor: Check if the drain pan is overflowing or if the drain tube is clogged. Ensure the refrigerator is level.
