3. Setup

Battery and Charging:

The Retoo M062B features a built-in 300mAh rechargeable battery, allowing for portable use without constant connection to a power source.

1. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB to Micro USB cable. Connect the Micro USB end to the DC 5V port on the radio and the USB end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
2. Charging Indicator: The LCD display will show a charging icon or indicator. Once fully charged, the indicator will change or turn off.

4. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

• To turn the radio ON, slide the ON/OFF Switch (5) to the 'ON' position.
• To turn the radio OFF, slide the ON/OFF Switch (5) to the 'OFF' position.

Volume Adjustment:

• To increase volume, long press the V+ / ►► Button (6).
• To decrease volume, long press the ◀◀ / V- Button (4).

Mode Selection:

• Press the MODE Button (2) repeatedly to cycle through available modes: FM Radio, MP3 (USB/Micro SD), and AUX.

FM Radio Operation:

The radio features an integrated and removable antenna for optimal reception (88-108 MHz).

1. Extend Antenna: For best reception, fully extend the antenna.
2. Automatic Station Search: In FM mode, briefly press the Play/Pause Button (3) to initiate an automatic scan for available radio stations. The radio will save found stations.
3. Manual Tuning/Station Selection: Use the ◀◀ / V- Button (4) and V+ / ►► Button (6) to navigate through saved stations or fine-tune the frequency.

MP3 Playback (USB/Micro SD):

The radio supports MP3 playback from USB flash drives and Micro SD/TF cards.

1. Insert Media: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or a Micro SD/TF card into its dedicated slot.
2. Select MP3 Mode: Press the MODE Button (2) until MP3 mode is selected (indicated on the LCD display).
3. Playback Control:
   • Press Play/Pause Button (3) to play or pause the current track.
   • Short press ◀◀ / V- Button (4) for the previous track.
   • Short press V+ / ►► Button (6) for the next track.

Using the 3.5mm Headphone Jack:

• Connect any standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack for private listening. The speaker output will automatically mute.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in constant use.

• No Power:
  • Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Check if the battery is charged. Connect the radio to a power source using the USB cable.
• Poor FM Reception:
  • Fully extend the telescopic antenna.
  • Try repositioning the radio or moving to an area with better signal.
  • Perform an automatic station scan to refresh available frequencies.
• No Sound from Speaker:
  • Check the volume level and ensure it is not set to minimum.
  • If headphones are connected, disconnect them to enable speaker output.
• MP3 Playback Issues:
  • Ensure the USB drive or Micro SD/TF card is inserted correctly.
  • Verify that the audio files are in MP3 format.
