Use the directional arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through menu options. Press the Enter button to confirm selections or enter sub-menus.
3.2 Key Functions
- 'O' Button: This button serves as a quick switch, typically used to cycle between different test modes or options (e.g., 5V, 3.3V, AUTO).
- 'P' Button: This button controls the backlight of the display, allowing you to turn it on or off for better visibility in various lighting conditions.
3.3 Performing a Test
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Select the appropriate test mode (e.g., 5V, 3.3V, AUTO) using the 'O' button or navigation keys.
- Carefully insert the integrated circuit (IC) or transistor into the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket. Ensure all pins are correctly aligned and seated.
- If using an adapter, insert the IC into the adapter first, then insert the adapter into the ZIF socket.
- Press the Enter button to initiate the test.
- Observe the results displayed on the LCD screen.

4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the tester in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears or if the device fails to power on.
5. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on:
- Check if the batteries are correctly installed with the right polarity.
- Ensure the batteries have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Press and hold the 'Enter' button for more than 2 seconds to power on.
- Inconsistent or incorrect test results:
- Ensure the IC or transistor is properly seated in the ZIF socket or adapter.
- Verify that the correct test mode (5V, 3.3V, AUTO) is selected for the component being tested.
- Clean the pins of the component and the ZIF socket if there is any visible debris.
- Display is dim or unreadable:
- Press the 'P' button to activate or adjust the backlight.
- Check battery charge; low batteries can affect display brightness.
