Operating Instructions
Cuff Application
The SmartHeart monitor features an attached wide-range arm cuff (8.6” – 16.5” / 22 cm – 42 cm) with a D-ring style for easy application. Ensure the cuff fits snugly but not too tightly on your upper arm, approximately 1 inch above the elbow. The air tube should run down the center of your arm in line with your middle finger.

Taking a Measurement
- Rest your elbow on a solid surface with your palm facing upward. Elevate your arm so that the cuff is at the same level as your heart. You may support your hand with a folded towel or book. Relax your left hand.
- When the monitor is off, press the U1/SET or U2 (POWER) button to power on the monitor. The unit will run a self-test.
- The display will briefly show '0' before the measurement begins.
- The numbers will increase on the digital display during measurement as the cuff inflates. This monitor utilizes Advanced Inflation Technology, taking your reading during cuff inflation for faster measurement time and less time with your arm compressed.
- When the measurement is complete, the cuff will automatically deflate, and your blood pressure measurement (systolic and diastolic) and pulse reading results will show on the display screen simultaneously.

Memory Function
The reading will automatically be stored in the USER Memory Bank selected at the start of the reading, with up to 250 readings per user. This allows for tracking of results over time.
Turning Off the Device
Select U1/SET or U2 (POWER) button to turn the unit off and conserve energy and battery life. The unit will automatically shut-off approximately 1 minute after use.

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your SmartHeart Blood Pressure Monitor, follow these maintenance guidelines:
