Figure 2: Detailed view of the monitor's display. It shows systolic (SYS), diastolic (DIA) pressure in mmHg, and pulse rate per minute. A hypertension indicator is visible on the left side of the screen.

Figure 3: Intelligent Inflation Technology. This feature uses previous measurement history to determine the optimal inflation level, resulting in faster and more comfortable readings.

Figure 4: Wide-Range Arm Cuff details. The cuff fits arm circumferences from 8.6 to 16.5 inches (22-42 cm), features a traditional D-ring style, soft fabric, and hook & loop closure for a comfortable fit. It is not made with natural rubber latex.

Operating Instructions
Preparing for Measurement
- Avoid eating, drinking alcohol, smoking, or exercising for at least 30 minutes before measurement.
- Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
- Sit upright with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
- Place your arm on a flat surface so the cuff is at heart level.
- Ensure the cuff is applied directly to bare skin, not over clothing.
Applying the Arm Cuff
- Slide your left arm through the cuff loop. The air tube should run down the inside of your arm.
- Position the cuff so the bottom edge is approximately 1 inch (2-3 cm) above your elbow.
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm, securing it with the hook and loop fastener. Ensure it is not too tight or too loose.
Taking a Measurement
- With the cuff correctly applied and the unit connected, press the START button.
- The cuff will automatically inflate. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed on the screen.
- The unit will automatically store the reading in its memory.
- Press the START button again to turn off the unit, or it will automatically shut off after 1 minute of inactivity.
Memory Functions
The SmartHeart monitor stores previous readings for easy review.
Viewing Stored Readings
- From the OFF state, press the MEM button.
- The most recent reading will be displayed first.
- Press the MEM button repeatedly to scroll through older readings.
- The unit will display the average of the last three readings (if available) before showing individual readings.
Clearing Memory
To clear all stored readings, press and hold the MEM button for approximately 5 seconds while in memory recall mode until "CLR" or "---" appears on the display, indicating memory has been cleared.
Maintenance and Care
- Clean the monitor unit and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- Store the unit in its storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Do not drop or subject the unit to strong impacts.
- Regularly check the air tube and cuff for any signs of damage or wear.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| No display when powered on. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Replace batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity. |
| "E1" or "Err" displayed. | Cuff not applied correctly or movement during measurement. | Reapply cuff snugly. Remain still and silent during measurement. |
| Inconsistent readings. | Improper measurement technique, stress, or environmental factors. | Ensure proper preparation and technique (see Operating Instructions). Take multiple readings over time. Consult a physician if concerns persist. |
| Cuff does not inflate. | Air tube not connected properly or leak in cuff/tube. | Check air tube connection. Inspect cuff and tube for damage. |
