1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Total TSLI1651 20V 165mm Cordless Circular Saw. This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new power tool. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.
2. General Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury when using power tools. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.
2.1 Work Area Safety
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2.2 Electrical Safety
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
2.3 Personal Safety
- Always wear eye protection. Use safety glasses, goggles, or a face shield.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hats, or hearing protection for appropriate conditions.
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts.

- Adjust the cutting depth and bevel angle as required for your material.
- Place the saw base plate firmly on the workpiece, ensuring the blade is clear of the material before starting.
- Press the safety lock-off button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger to start the saw. Allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
- Guide the saw smoothly and steadily through the material. Do not force the saw.
- Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.

5.2 Adjusting Cutting Depth
The cutting depth can be adjusted to match the thickness of your material. Loosen the depth adjustment lever, move the base plate up or down to the desired depth, and then securely tighten the lever. For optimal performance and safety, set the blade depth so that the blade extends approximately 3-6mm below the workpiece.
5.3 Adjusting Bevel Angle
The saw allows for bevel cuts at various angles. Loosen the bevel adjustment knob, tilt the saw base plate to the desired angle (e.g., 45 degrees or 90 degrees), and then securely tighten the knob. The saw offers a cutting capacity of 38mm at 45 degrees and 55mm at 90 degrees.
