5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Inserting Batteries

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the thermostat.
  2. Insert the two AA 1.5V batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

5.2 Mounting the Thermostat

The thermostat is designed for easy installation on most standard radiator valves. Adapters are included for Danfoss RA, RAV, and RAVL valves.

  1. Remove your existing radiator head.
  2. If necessary, select the appropriate adapter for your valve type and attach it to the valve.
  3. Screw the SilverCrest thermostat onto the valve or adapter until it is securely fastened. Do not overtighten.
  4. The thermostat will perform an initial calibration.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Initial Setup (Date/Time)

Upon first use or after battery replacement, you may need to set the current date and time. Follow the on-screen prompts or refer to the 'Time' button functions.

6.2 Setting Temperature

Rotate the knob to adjust the desired temperature. The new temperature will be displayed and saved automatically.

6.3 Operating Modes

Press the 'Menu' button to switch between modes.

6.4 Programming Time Schedules

The thermostat allows you to set individual heating schedules for different days of the week. Use the 'Time' button and 'Menu'/'OK' buttons to navigate and set desired temperatures for specific time blocks.
