Introduction
The Dreo TwinCool 12000 BTU Smart Inverter Portable Air Conditioner is designed to provide powerful and efficient cooling for spaces up to 450 sq ft. Featuring innovative dual-hose technology, it ensures rapid cooling by maintaining efficient air circulation, keeping cool air in and expelling hot air effectively. Setup
1. Unpacking and Component Check
Carefully unpack all components from the box. Ensure all listed parts are present: the portable AC unit, user manual, remote control, window panel, extension panel, drain hose, air divider, foam seals, hung window adapter, sliding window adapter (front and rear), screws, and security bracket.

2. Unit Placement
Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface. For optimal performance, ensure the unit is at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from walls or furniture to allow for proper airflow around the air inlets and outlets.
3. Window Kit Installation
The Dreo TwinCool is compatible with both hung windows (vertical sliding) and sliding windows (horizontal sliding). The window panel is adjustable to fit window widths/heights from 26.8 inches to 49 inches (67.5-124 cm).
- For Hung Windows: Attach the hung window adapter to the vent hose. Insert the window panel assembly into the window opening.
- For Sliding Windows: Assemble the sliding window adapter (front and rear) and fasten with screws. Snap this assembly onto the vent hose. Insert the window panel assembly into the window opening.
Use the provided foam seals to properly seal gaps around the window panel, preventing air and insects from entering the room. For added security, install the security bracket as desired.

4. Vent Hose Connection
Extend the flexible vent hose and attach it to the designated outlet on the rear of the unit. Then, connect the other end of the hose to the window panel adapter. Ensure the hose is not over-extended or bent sharply to maintain optimal performance.
5. Drain Hose Connection (for Dehumidify Mode)
For continuous draining in Dehumidify mode, remove the cover and pull out the plug from the top drain outlet at the back of the unit. Connect one end of the supplied drain hose to this outlet and direct the other end into a bucket or suitable drain. In Cool mode, the unit features self-evaporation, so manual draining is typically not required unless the internal tank becomes full (indicated by a P1 error code).
6. Power Cord Management
The unit includes a cord winder at the back to neatly store the power cord when not in use, preventing tripping hazards and keeping the area tidy.
Operating the Air Conditioner
1. Control Panel Overview
The top panel of the unit features intuitive touch controls and an LED display. Buttons include: Swing, Timer, Mode, Temperature Up/Down, Fan Speed, Sleep, and Power.

2. Remote Control Functions
The included remote control allows full operation of the unit from up to 26 feet away. It mirrors all control panel functions and includes an I Sense feature, which uses a sensor in the remote to measure the temperature at its location, providing more accurate temperature control for your immediate vicinity.
3. Operating Modes
- Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Set desired temperature between 60-86°F (16-30°C).
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose from Low, Medium, or High fan speeds.
- Dehumidify Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air. Requires continuous draining via the drain hose.
- Auto Mode: Automatically selects the operating mode (Cool, Fan, or Dehumidify) based on the ambient room temperature.
- Sleep Mode: Operates quietly with reduced fan speed and gradually increases the set temperature to ensure comfortable sleep.

4. Timer Function
Set a 24-hour timer for automatic power on or off. This allows you to schedule the unit's operation to suit your needs and save energy.
Maintenance
1. Air Filter Cleaning
The air filter should be cleaned every 3-4 weeks, or more frequently depending on air quality and usage. To clean, remove the filter from the back of the unit, wash it with mild soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

2. Water Draining
In Cool mode, the unit typically self-evaporates condensed water. If the internal water tank becomes full, the unit will display a P1 error code and stop operating. In this case, manually drain the water from the bottom drain outlet. For continuous dehumidification, use the drain hose connected to the top drain outlet.
Troubleshooting
- Unit does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and if there is power to the outlet. Ensure the unit is not displaying an error code.
- Unit is not cooling effectively: Verify that the room size is within the recommended 450 sq ft. Ensure all windows and doors are closed, and the window kit is properly sealed. Clean the air filter if it's dirty. Check if the ambient temperature is within the operating range (60-86°F).
- P1 error code: This indicates the internal water tank is full. Drain the water manually from the bottom drain outlet.
- Noisy operation: While designed for quiet operation (42 dB), ensure the unit is on a flat, stable surface. Check for any obstructions in the air inlets or outlets.
- Remote control not working: Check and replace batteries. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit's sensor.
