Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the handle of the thermometer.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 2x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement

1. Point the thermometer at the target surface.
2. Press and hold the trigger. The laser pointer will activate to help aim.
3. The temperature reading will appear on the digital display instantly.
4. Release the trigger to hold the reading on the display for a few seconds.

Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)

The thermometer allows you to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Refer to the device's buttons, usually located near the display, to toggle the unit. Typically, a dedicated button or a combination of buttons is used for this function.

Measurement Tips

• For best accuracy, ensure the target area is larger than the spot size indicated by the distance-to-spot ratio (D:S). The Cozze thermometer has a D:S ratio of 12:1, meaning at 12 inches distance, it measures a 1-inch spot.
• Avoid measuring through glass or other transparent surfaces, as these can affect accuracy.
• Dust, fog, or steam can interfere with accurate measurements.
• Allow the thermometer to stabilize at ambient temperature before use, especially if moving between environments with significant temperature differences.
