2. Product Overview
The Fulbat Fulload F4 is a smart battery charger and maintainer designed for 6V and 12V lead-acid (GEL, AGM, Wet) and Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries with capacities ranging from 2AH to 80AH. It features multiple charging modes, including normal, lithium, and repair, ensuring optimal battery health and longevity.

This image shows the Fulbat Fulload F4 smart battery charger. The main unit is black and green, displaying 'FULBAT FULLOAD F4' and 'SMART BATTERY CHARGER & MAINTAINER'. It has indicators for 6V, 12V, Lithium, and Repair modes, along with battery charge percentage. Attached are red and black battery clamps and ring terminals for connection.
The charger automatically detects the battery voltage and type (once selected) and applies the appropriate charging algorithm. Its compact design makes it ideal for various applications, including motorcycles, ATVs, lawnmowers, and other vehicles with compatible batteries.
3. Setup
- Prepare the Battery: Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion. If necessary, clean them with a wire brush.
- Connect to Battery:
- Connect the red (+) clamp/ring terminal to the positive (+) battery terminal.
- Connect the black (-) clamp/ring terminal to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Ensure connections are secure.
- Connect to Power: Plug the AC power cord of the charger into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Select Mode: Press the 'MODE' button on the charger to select the appropriate charging mode for your battery (6V, 12V, Lithium, or Repair). The corresponding LED will illuminate.
4. Operating Instructions
Once connected and the mode is selected, the charger will begin the charging process automatically. The charging status is indicated by the LEDs on the unit.
- Charging Indication: The percentage LEDs (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) will light up sequentially to indicate the battery's charge level.
- Fully Charged: When the battery is fully charged, the 100% LED will remain solid. The charger will then switch to maintenance mode to prevent overcharging.
- Maintenance Mode: In maintenance mode, the charger provides a small current to keep the battery at optimal charge, making it suitable for long-term connection.
- Repair Mode: For deeply discharged or sulfated lead-acid batteries, select the 'Repair' mode. This mode attempts to recover the battery, but success is not guaranteed for severely damaged batteries.
To disconnect, first unplug the charger from the AC outlet, then disconnect the black (-) clamp/terminal, followed by the red (+) clamp/terminal from the battery.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the charger casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect the charging cables and connectors for any signs of damage, fraying, or corrosion. Replace if damaged.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use. Keep it away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
