Introduction

Thank you for choosing HitLights Eclipse Pre-Cut LED Strip Lights. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your LED lighting kit. Please read these instructions thoroughly before use and retain them for future reference.

What's in the Box

Your HitLights Eclipse LED Strip Light kit includes the following components:

  • 12V DC compact power supply
  • Eclipse RGB controller / RF remote controller (21-key)
  • Three (3) one-foot RGB Eclipse LED strip lights (5050 LED type)
  • Three (3) one-foot plug and play extension wires with 4-pin input and output plugs
  • Eight (8) adhesive-backed wire clips

Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance.
  • This product is designed for Indoor Use Only. Do not expose to water or high humidity.
  • Use only the provided power supply. Using an incompatible power supply may damage the product and void the warranty.
  • Do not cut the LED strips unless specifically instructed and using designated cut marks. Cutting elsewhere will damage the strip.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid bending the LED strips sharply, as this can damage the internal circuitry.

Setup Instructions

  1. Plan Your Layout: Before removing any adhesive backing, plan where you want to install the LED strips. Ensure the length is sufficient and the power supply can reach an outlet.
  2. Prepare the Surface: Clean the installation surface thoroughly. It must be dry, smooth, and free of dust, oil, or debris for optimal adhesive performance.
  3. Apply LED Strips: Carefully peel the blue 3M adhesive backing from the LED strip. Press the strip firmly onto the prepared surface, working in small sections to avoid bubbles.
  4. Connect LED Strips and Extensions: Connect the LED strips to each other or to the extension wires using the 4-pin connectors. Ensure the arrows on the connectors align for proper polarity.

  1. Secure Wires: Use the provided adhesive-backed wire clips to neatly secure any loose wires or extension cables, preventing them from hanging or being damaged.
  2. Connect Power Supply: Connect the 4-pin output from the last LED strip or extension wire to the RGB controller. Then, connect the compact power supply to the RGB controller.
  3. Plug In: Plug the power supply into a standard 12V DC electrical outlet.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your LED strip lights, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the LED strips with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials. Ensure the power is off before cleaning.
  • Connection Check: Periodically inspect all connections (strip to strip, strip to extension, controller to power supply) to ensure they are secure. Loose connections can cause flickering or inconsistent lighting.
  • Adhesive Integrity: If the adhesive begins to lose its grip, you can reinforce it with additional adhesive clips or a suitable double-sided tape designed for LED strips.
