Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum-mop.
1. Emptying and Cleaning the Dustbin
It is recommended to empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle. Open the top cover of the robot, remove the 2-in-1 dustbin and water tank, open the dustbin compartment, and discard the collected debris. Rinse the dustbin with water if necessary, ensuring it is completely dry before re-installing.
2. Cleaning the Filter
The filter is located within the dustbin. Tap off loose dirt and rinse it under running water. Allow the filter to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before re-installing. Do not use a brush or fingers to clean the filter, as this may damage it.
3. Cleaning the Main Brush
Periodically remove the main brush cover and the main brush. Use the provided cleaning tool to cut and remove any hair or debris tangled around the brush. Re-install the main brush and cover, ensuring they click into place.
4. Cleaning the Side Brush
Remove the side brush by gently pulling it upwards. Clean any hair or debris from the brush and its post. Re-install the side brush, ensuring it clicks into place.
5. Cleaning the Water Tank and Mop Pad
After mopping, empty any remaining water from the tank. Remove the mop pad and wash it thoroughly. Allow both the tank and pad to air dry completely before storage or next use. Do not use detergents in the water tank unless specifically approved by Xiaomi.
6. Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts
Wipe the cliff sensors (located on the bottom of the robot), wall sensors (on the side), and the charging contacts on both the robot and the charging dock with a soft, dry cloth. This prevents dust buildup from affecting performance.
