5. Operating Instructions
Before starting, ensure all safety instructions have been read and understood.
- Connect Power: Plug the mower's power cord into a suitable outdoor extension cord, then plug the extension cord into a grounded power outlet (230V). Ensure the extension cord is rated for outdoor use and sufficient for 1600W.
- Start the Mower: Press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail lever towards the handle. The motor will start. Release the safety button but keep the bail lever held to continue operation.
- Mowing Technique: Mow in overlapping rows. For best results, mow in straight lines. Avoid overloading the motor by cutting excessively long or wet grass. If the grass is very long, consider raising the cutting height for the first pass.
- Grass Collection: Monitor the grass collection bag's level indicator. Empty the bag when it is full to maintain optimal collection performance.
- Stopping the Mower: Release the bail lever. The motor will stop.
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the mower from the power outlet after use and before any adjustments or maintenance.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your lawn mower.
- Cleaning: After each use, disconnect power and clean the mower deck, blades, and grass collection bag. Use a brush or cloth; avoid using water jets directly on electrical components.
- Blade Inspection: Periodically inspect the cutting blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can affect cutting performance and balance. Replace if necessary.
- Storage: Store the lawn mower in a dry, protected area. The handle can be fully folded for compact storage. Ensure the power cord is neatly coiled and stored safely.
- General Check: Regularly check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness. Ensure all safety devices are in working order.
