4. Setup

4.1. Amplifier Placement

Place the amplifier on a stable, flat surface or install it into a standard 19-inch audio rack. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not block the cooling fan vents located on the rear panel.

4.2. Power Connection

  1. Ensure the amplifier's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the provided power cable to the AC IN port on the rear of the amplifier.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a standard 120/220V AC power outlet. The amplifier supports switchable voltage.

4.3. Speaker Connections

The PTA1000BT offers SpeakOn and Binding Post connectors for speaker output. Ensure your speakers have an impedance of 4-8 Ohms.

  • SpeakOn Connectors: Use for secure, high-power connections. Connect your SpeakOn-compatible speaker cables to the CH A, CH B, or BRIDGE outputs.
  • Binding Post Connectors: Use for standard speaker wire connections. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of your speakers to the corresponding binding posts for CH A and CH B.

For Bridge Mode operation, connect your single speaker to the BRIDGE SpeakOn output or the dedicated BRIDGE binding posts (if available, refer to rear panel markings). Ensure the BRIDGE/STEREO switch on the rear panel is set to BRIDGE.

4.4. Audio Input Connections

Connect your audio sources to the amplifier using the appropriate input jacks on the rear panel.

  • TRS (1/4'') Inputs: For balanced or unbalanced audio signals from mixers, instruments, or other audio devices.
  • XLR Inputs: For balanced audio signals from professional microphones, mixers, or other audio equipment.
  • AUX-IN (3.5mm) Input: For connecting portable audio devices via a standard 3.5mm audio cable (located on the front panel).
  • USB/SD Card Slots: For direct playback of audio files from USB flash drives or SD memory cards (located on the front panel).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Powering On/Off

Locate the POWER switch on the front panel. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the amplifier. The Power LED indicator will illuminate. Flip to 'OFF' to power down.

5.2. Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Ensure the Bluetooth antenna is connected to the amplifier's rear panel.
  2. Turn on the amplifier.

5.3. Using USB/SD Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or SD card containing audio files into the respective slot on the front panel.
