Frothing Milk with the Steam Nozzle
- Fill a milk frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy). Do not fill more than one-third, as milk volume will increase.
- Turn the control knob to the steam function. Wait for the steam indicator light to illuminate steadily, indicating the machine is ready for steaming.
- Position the steam nozzle just below the surface of the milk in the pitcher.
- Slowly open the steam valve. Steam will be released, frothing the milk.
- Move the pitcher up and down slightly to incorporate air and create a creamy foam.
- Once the desired foam consistency and temperature are reached, close the steam valve and turn the control knob back to the standby position.
- Immediately wipe the steam nozzle with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your coffee machine.
Daily Cleaning
- Portafilter and Sieve: After each use, remove the portafilter, discard coffee grounds, and rinse the portafilter and sieve under running water.
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. It is removable for easy access.
- Steam Nozzle: Immediately after frothing milk, wipe the steam nozzle with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam valve to clear any internal blockages.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Descaling
Descaling is crucial to prevent mineral buildup and maintain machine performance. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.
- Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines, preferably one based on citric acid, as acetic acid (vinegar) can damage silicone seals.
- Follow the instructions on the descaling solution packaging for dilution and application.
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
- Run the solution through the espresso function and the steam nozzle until the tank is empty.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
- Run several tanks of fresh water through both the espresso function and the steam nozzle to thoroughly rinse the machine.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BEEM ESPRESSO PERFECT, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No coffee dispenses. | No water in tank, machine not primed, clogged portafilter. | Fill water tank, prime the machine, clean portafilter/sieve. |
| Coffee is too weak or watery. | Coffee grounds too coarse, not enough coffee, insufficient tamping. | Use finer grind, increase coffee amount, tamp more firmly. |
| No steam from nozzle. | Nozzle clogged, machine not heated to steam temperature. | Clean steam nozzle, wait for steam indicator light to be steady. |
| Milk frothing is inconsistent. | Incorrect milk type/temperature, improper nozzle placement. | Use cold milk, practice nozzle placement just below surface, adjust pitcher angle. |
| Machine leaks water. | Water tank not seated correctly, drip tray full, internal seal issue. | Ensure water tank is secure, empty drip tray. If problem persists, contact support. |
| Coffee not hot enough. | Cups not preheated, machine not fully warmed up. | Preheat cups on warming plate, allow machine to fully heat before brewing. Brew espresso before frothing milk. |
