1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety goggles and work gloves when operating the chainsaw. Ensure the work area is clear of obstructions and bystanders. Keep hands and body parts away from the chain when the tool is in operation. Do not operate the chainsaw in wet conditions or near flammable liquids/gases. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when the tool is not in use.

3. Setup

3.1. Battery Charging

The chainsaw comes with two 24V 2000mAh rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Before first use, fully charge both batteries.

1. Connect the charger to a power outlet.
2. Plug the charger cable into the battery.
3. The charger will display a red light indicating charging is in progress.
4. Once fully charged, the light will turn green.
5. Disconnect the battery from the charger.

3.2. Chain Installation and Adjustment

The chainsaw typically comes with one chain pre-installed. If you need to install or adjust a chain:

1. Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
2. Unscrew the nut on the side cover and remove the cover.
3. Carefully place the chain around the guide bar, ensuring the serrations are facing the correct cutting direction (refer to diagram in manual or product images for correct orientation).
4. Align the chain with the sprocket on the motor unit.
5. Re-attach the side cover, ensuring the guide pin aligns with the guide bar.
6. Tighten the nut slightly, but not fully.
7. Use the provided screwdriver/wrench to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled slightly away from the guide bar. It should not sag or be overly tight.
8. Once tension is correct, fully tighten the nut on the side cover.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Lubrication

Before each use, ensure the chain is adequately lubricated. The chainsaw features an auto-oiling device. Fill the oil reservoir with appropriate bar and chain oil (sewing machine oil or 3-in-1 oil is not recommended, use dedicated chain oil). Press the clear soft glue next to the lid to prime the oil flow. The oil will automatically guide into the chain during operation.

4.2. Starting the Chainsaw

1. Insert a fully charged battery into the chainsaw handle until it clicks into place.
2. Grip the handle firmly with one hand.
3. Press the safety button located near the trigger.
4. While holding the safety button, press the trigger to start the chainsaw. Release the trigger to stop.

4.3. Cutting Techniques

Always maintain a firm grip on the chainsaw. For optimal performance and safety, allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before engaging the chain with the material. Cut branches from the top down to avoid pinching the chain. For larger branches (up to 6 inches), make multiple shallow cuts if necessary. Be aware of kickback and maintain a stable stance.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

After each use, remove the battery and clean the chainsaw. Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust, wood chips, and debris from the chain, guide bar, and motor housing. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth.

5.2. Chain Sharpening and Replacement

Regularly check the sharpness of the chain. A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain as needed using appropriate tools or replace it with a new one from the provided spares. Refer to the chain installation section for replacement steps.

5.3. Battery Care

Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Recharge them periodically if not in use.
