3. Setup Instructions

The CROWN SHADES gazebo features a patented one-push center lock technology for simplified assembly.

Step-by-Step Assembly:

  1. Open the Canopy Frame: With two people, gently pull the frame outwards from opposing corners until it is partially extended.
  2. Attach the Canopy Top: Place the canopy fabric over the partially opened frame. Ensure the corners are aligned. Secure the canopy fabric to the frame using the FastClip system. These clips easily secure the fabric, preventing water buildup and keeping the top in place.
  3. Engage CenterLok Technology: Position yourself under the center of the canopy. With one push, the central hub will lock out all four legs into place. This mechanism allows for single-person setup.
  4. Adjust Leg Height: Use the soft pinch-free buttons on each leg to set the desired height. There are three adjustable height levels.
  5. Secure the Gazebo: Utilize the integrated staking holes at the base of each leg. Insert the provided spikes into the ground through these holes. Attach the guy ropes to the frame and stake them into the ground at an angle to enhance stability. Fill the provided weight bags with sand, pebbles, or bottle water and attach them to the gazebo legs for additional stability.

Using the Removable Netting-Screens

The gazebo includes four removable netting-screens designed to help keep pests away. These screens can be zipped together to enclose the gazebo area. The netting extends close to the ground to maximize effectiveness.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the canopy fabric, use a mild soap and water solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric's protective coating. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.

Storage

After each use, especially before long-term storage, ensure the gazebo is clean and completely dry to prevent mold and mildew. Collapse the frame and pack all components into the provided Sto 'N Go wheeled cover bag for easy transport and compact storage. The storage bag dimensions are 47" x 8" x 8".

6. Troubleshooting

Gazebo Instability

  • Issue: Gazebo feels unstable or sways in light wind.
  • Solution: Ensure all legs are fully extended and locked at the same height. Verify that all anchoring spikes are firmly in the ground and guy ropes are taut. Use the provided weight bags, filled with appropriate material, attached to each leg for additional stability.

Water Pooling on Canopy

  • Issue: Water collects on the canopy during rain.
  • Solution: Ensure the canopy fabric is properly stretched and secured to the frame using the FastClip system. The fabric includes waterproof sealing tape to protect against water pooling, but proper tension is crucial. If pooling persists, gently push up from underneath to release accumulated water.

Difficulty with Setup/Takedown

  • Issue: Frame is difficult to open or close.
  • Solution: Ensure the CenterLok mechanism is fully disengaged (for takedown) or engaged (for setup). Apply even pressure when opening or closing the frame. If resistance is met, check for any obstructions or misaligned parts.
