3.2 Channel Selection and Digital Code
Your Hosmart intercom system supports 6 channels for communication and a digital code switch for enhanced privacy and interference reduction.
- Channel Selection: Use the numbered buttons (1-6) on the front panel to select a communication channel. All units intended to communicate with each other must be set to the same channel.
- Digital Code Switch: On the back of each unit, locate the 'Digital Code Switch (A/B/C)'. Set all intercom units to the same code (A, B, or C) to ensure they can communicate. This helps prevent interference from other wireless devices.
3.3 Placement
Place the intercom units in desired locations within your home or office. For optimal range and signal clarity, avoid placing units near large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean your intercom units, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these may damage the device.
5.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the intercom units in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Hosmart HY810A intercom system, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power: Ensure the AC power adapter is securely plugged into both the intercom unit and a working electrical outlet.
- No Communication Between Units:
- Verify that all units are powered on.
- Confirm that all units are set to the same channel (1-6).
- Check that the Digital Code Switch (A/B/C) on the back of each unit is set to the same position.
- Ensure units are within the effective communication range (up to 1/2 mile in open areas, less indoors).
- Static or Unclear Audio:
- Adjust the volume using the VOL+ and VOL- buttons.
- Try changing to a different channel to avoid interference.
- Ensure units are not too close to other electronic devices or large metal objects.
- If using outdoors, ensure a clear line of sight where possible.
- Call Ring Tone is Too Loud: The call ring tone volume is fixed and cannot be adjusted independently. Consider placing the unit further away or in a less sensitive area if the volume is consistently too high.
- Unit Randomly Changes Channel: While uncommon, if a unit frequently changes channels on its own, try resetting the unit by unplugging and replugging the power adapter. Ensure the digital code switch is firmly set. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Hosmart customer support for further assistance.
