5.3 Mobility and Stability

The cabinet features five industrial-grade casters for easy movement. Two of these casters are lockable to provide stability when the cabinet is in a desired position. A central caster prevents tipping when drawers are fully extended.

  • To move the cabinet, unlock the two front casters by flipping their levers.
  • To secure the cabinet in place, engage the locks on the two front casters.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
  • Drawer Slides: Periodically check drawer slides for smooth operation. If they become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied.
  • Casters: Keep casters free of hair, dust, and debris to ensure smooth rolling.
  • Hardware: Regularly inspect all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Drawers are difficult to open or close: Check if the cabinet is on a level surface. Ensure drawers are not overloaded. Inspect drawer slides for obstructions or damage.
  • Cabinet is unstable or tips easily: Verify that the cabinet is on a flat surface. Ensure only one drawer is open at a time. Check if casters are properly installed and tightened.
  • Casters are not rolling smoothly: Clean any debris (hair, dust) from the caster wheels. Ensure the caster locks are disengaged.
  • Lock mechanism is not working: Ensure all drawers are fully closed before attempting to lock. Check if the key is fully inserted and turned correctly.
