3. Safety Information

5. Installation
The WALI GSMU001 monitor arm offers two installation methods: C-clamp and Grommet Base. Choose the method best suited for your desk.
5.1 C-Clamp Installation
- Attach the C-clamp base to the edge of your desk. Ensure the desk thickness is between 0.39" and 1.8".
- Tighten the C-clamp screw until the base is securely fastened to the desk.
- Insert the main pole of the monitor arm into the C-clamp base.
- Secure the pole with the provided set screw using an Allen wrench.
5.2 Grommet Base Installation
- If your desk has a grommet hole, remove the existing grommet cover. Ensure the hole diameter is suitable for the grommet base.
- Place the grommet base over the hole, ensuring the desk thickness is between 0.39" and 1.8".
- Thread the grommet screw through the base and tighten it from underneath the desk.
- Insert the main pole of the monitor arm into the grommet base.
- Secure the pole with the provided set screw using an Allen wrench.

5.3 Attaching the Monitor
- Attach the VESA plate to the back of your monitor using the appropriate screws and spacers from the hardware kit. Ensure the screws are securely tightened.
- With assistance, slide the monitor (with the attached VESA plate) onto the arm's mounting head.
- Secure the monitor to the arm by tightening the locking screw on the VESA plate.
5.4 Connecting USB Ports
Connect the two USB 3.0 cables from the monitor arm base to available USB 3.0 ports on your computer for convenient access.

6. Adjustments and Operation
The WALI GSMU001 monitor arm offers a wide range of adjustments to achieve your desired ergonomic position.
6.1 Gas Spring Tension Adjustment
The gas spring tension needs to be adjusted according to your monitor's weight to ensure smooth movement and stable positioning. Use the provided Allen wrench to adjust the tension screw located on the arm.
- Turn clockwise for lighter monitors (to reduce tension).
- Turn counter-clockwise for heavier monitors (to increase tension).
Note: Keep the arm in a horizontal level position while adjusting the tension for accurate results.

6.2 Angle Adjustments (Tilt, Swivel, Rotation)
The monitor arm allows for flexible positioning of your screen:
- Tilt: Adjust the monitor screen +45°/-45° vertically to reduce glare and optimize viewing angle.
- Swivel: Rotate the monitor +90°/-90° horizontally to share your screen or change viewing direction.
- Rotation: Rotate the monitor +180°/-180° to switch between landscape and portrait orientations.
