Digital LED Counter Instruction Manual

Brand: YMJOINMX | Model: FBASeven047

1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the YMJOINMX Digital LED Counter, designed for accurate piece counting in various industrial applications such as factory production lines and conveyor systems. It features an infrared sensor for automatic counting, an alarm reminder function, and a clear LED display capable of counting up to 99999.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the power supply matches the device's requirements (DC 12V-24V).
  • Do not expose the device to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid direct eye exposure to the infrared sensor's beam.
  • Install the device securely to prevent accidental falls or damage.
  • Disconnect power before cleaning or performing any maintenance.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present in the package:

  • Digital Counter Display Unit
  • Infrared Sensor
  • Sensor Holder/Bracket
  • Power Adapter
Product components including digital counter, infrared sensor, holder, and power adapter.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting the Counter

The digital counter display unit features screw holes on its white casing for secure mounting. Choose a stable surface near your counting area, such as a conveyor belt or production line, and fix the unit using appropriate screws.

4.2 Installing the Infrared Sensor

Attach the infrared sensor to its holder/bracket. Position the sensor so that the invisible infrared beam is interrupted by the objects you wish to count. The sensing distance can be adjusted to optimize accuracy based on the size and speed of the objects.

4.3 Adjusting Sensing Distance

The sensing distance of the infrared sensor can be adjusted. Use a small screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw on the sensor. Turning clockwise increases the sensing distance, and counter-clockwise decreases it. This allows for fine-tuning based on the size of the objects being counted and the desired detection range (11.7-27 inches).

4.4 Power Connection

Connect the provided power adapter to the digital counter unit and plug it into a suitable power outlet. The display will illuminate, indicating the device is ready for operation.

5. Operation

5.1 Basic Counting

Once powered on and the sensor is correctly positioned, the counter will automatically increment by one each time an object passes through and interrupts the infrared beam. The current count is displayed on the LED screen.

5.2 Resetting the Count

To reset the current count to zero, press the "^" (up arrow) key on the counter's front panel. This is a manual reset function.

5.3 Alarm Reminder Function

The counter can be set to trigger an alarm when a predefined count value is reached. This is useful for batch counting or production targets. When the count reaches the set alarm value, the alarm light will beep and flash continuously for 5 seconds.

5.4 Parameter Setting (Important Update)

IMPORTANT NOTE: The instructions included in the product packaging may not be fully updated. For the latest and most accurate parameter setting procedures, especially for alarm values and other advanced settings, please refer to the information below and the provided video. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact YMJOINMX customer support for the most current instructions.

To enter the programming page for parameter settings, press the "SET" key for 3 seconds. Use the "<" and "^" keys to navigate and adjust values.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the counter and sensor clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Ensure the infrared sensor's lens is clear for optimal performance.
  • Regularly check all connections to ensure they are secure.
  • Store the device in a dry environment when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Counter not incrementingSensor misaligned or obstructed; object not interrupting beam; sensor malfunction.Adjust sensor alignment and sensing distance. Ensure objects pass directly through the beam. Clean sensor lens.
Inaccurate countingSensing distance incorrect for object size; black objects (infrared limitation); rapid counting.Fine-tune sensing distance. Note that black objects may not be sensed. For metal objects, a metal sensor is required. For irregular objects, an irregular object sensor is required. Contact technical support for specific adjustments.
Alarm not sounding/incorrectlyAlarm value not set or set incorrectly; buzzer switch off.Verify the H2 parameter (alarm value) is set correctly. Check the 'b' parameter (buzzer switch) in the settings. Refer to Section 5.4.
Display is blank or flickeringPower supply issue; loose connection.Check power adapter connection and ensure it's plugged into a working outlet. Verify power supply voltage.
Unit in 'lock mode' or password requiredAccidental activation of lock feature; unknown password. There is no user-set password for this model. If the unit appears locked or unresponsive, please contact YMJOINMX technical support immediately for assistance.
