3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Powering On

  1. Connect the power adapter to the camera's power input port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
  3. The camera will initiate its startup sequence, indicated by an LED light.

3.2 Network Connection (Wi-Fi)

The Morecam-838 camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only. Ensure your router is configured for 2.4GHz or has a mixed mode enabled.

  1. Download the companion mobile application (e.g., MIPC or similar, refer to the quick start guide for specific app name) from your device's app store.
  2. Create an account and log in.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or entering its device ID.
  4. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  5. Once connected, the camera's LED indicator will change, and you will receive a confirmation in the app.

3.3 Physical Installation

The camera is designed for outdoor wall-mount installation and is IP66 waterproof for durability.

  1. Choose a suitable outdoor location with a clear view of the area you wish to monitor and within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Use the included mounting template (if provided) to mark the drill holes on the wall.
  3. Drill holes and insert the wall plugs.
  4. Secure the camera's mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the camera to the mounting bracket.
  6. Adjust the antenna position for optimal signal reception.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and PTZ Control

Access the live video feed through the mobile application. The camera features Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) functionality.

  • Open the app and select your camera to view the live feed.
  • Swipe on the screen to pan (horizontal 360°) and tilt (vertical 90°) the camera lens.
  • Use the pinch-to-zoom gesture for 8x digital zoom.

4.2 Two-Way Audio

The built-in microphone and speaker allow for two-way communication.
