Important Safety Instructions

Operating Instructions
Basic Rice Cooking:
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of rice typically yields two servings.
- Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold running water until the water runs clear.
- Add Rice to Pot: Place the washed rice into the ceramic-coated inner pot.
- Add Water: Add the appropriate amount of water. A general guideline is 1:1 ratio for rice to water, but this may vary based on rice type and desired consistency. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot.
- Place Inner Pot: Place the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits properly.
- Close Lid: Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
- Select Function: Plug in the rice cooker. The LED display will illuminate. Select the desired cooking function (e.g., "Rice") using the sensor touch buttons.
- Start Cooking: Press the "Start" button. The cooking indicator will light up, and the display will show the cooking progress.
- Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to "Keep Warm" mode for up to 24 hours.
- Serve: Open the lid carefully to avoid steam burns. Use the rice spatula to fluff and serve the rice.
Using Other Cooking Functions:
The Mistral MRC16C features 9 cooking functions. Consult the specific recipes or guidelines for each function. Common functions may include:
- Porridge: For preparing various types of porridge.
- Soup: For simmering soups and stews.
- Steam: For steaming vegetables, fish, or other foods (requires a steaming tray, not included).
- Cake: For baking small cakes.

Preset Time Function:
The cooker allows you to preset a cooking start time up to 24 hours in advance.

- Press the "Preset" button. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the desired delay time.
- Press "Start" to confirm. The cooker will begin cooking after the set delay time.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your rice cooker. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Inner Pot: Wash the ceramic-coated inner pot with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers, as this can damage the non-stick coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Detachable Inner Cap: Remove the inner cap from the lid and wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely before reattaching.
- Lid and Main Unit: Wipe the inside and outside of the lid, and the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
- Steam Vent: Check the steam vent on the lid for any blockages and clean if necessary.
- Accessories: Wash the measuring cup and rice spatula with warm, soapy water and dry.
- Storage: Store the rice cooker in a dry, cool place when not in use.
Note: Do not immerse the main unit of the rice cooker in water or any other liquid. The inner pot is hand wash only.
