Operating Instructions

1. Lighting the Pilot

  1. Ensure the gas supply valve is open.
  2. Locate the control knob on the burner assembly.
  3. Push in and turn the control knob to the "PILOT" position.
  4. While holding the knob in, press the igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame lights.
  5. Continue to hold the control knob in for approximately 30-60 seconds after the pilot lights to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob; the pilot should remain lit. If it extinguishes, repeat the process.

2. Lighting the Main Burner

  1. Once the pilot is lit, slowly turn the control knob from the "PILOT" position to the "ON" position.
  2. The main burner should ignite.
  3. Adjust the flame height by rotating the control knob between "LOW" and "HIGH" settings.

3. Turning Off the Log Set

  1. To turn off the main burner, turn the control knob to the "PILOT" position. The main burner will extinguish, but the pilot will remain lit.
  2. To turn off the entire appliance (pilot included), turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.
  3. For extended periods of non-use, it is recommended to close the main gas supply valve.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures safe and efficient operation of your log set.

  • Annual Inspection: Have the appliance inspected annually by a qualified service technician.
  • Cleaning:
    • Ensure the log set is completely cool before cleaning.
    • Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris from the logs and burner area.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners or liquids on the logs or burner.
    • Clean the pilot and burner ports as needed to ensure proper flame patterns.
