1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Norcent NSP-280X Dual 8-inch Portable Bluetooth Speaker. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your device. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

The NSP-280X is a versatile portable speaker featuring dual 8-inch woofers, Bluetooth connectivity, sound-activated LED lights, and multiple input options, all housed in a durable wood cabinet.

  • LED Display: Shows current mode and track information.
  • USB Port: For playing MP3 files from a USB drive.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the speaker.
  2. Plug the adapter into a standard AC 110-240V power outlet.
  3. The charging indicator (if available) will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 8 hours and provides up to 8 hours of playback.
  4. Disconnect the charger once fully charged or when not in use.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, toggle the POWER S/W switch to the 'ON' position.
  • To power off, toggle the POWER S/W switch to the 'OFF' position.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the speaker. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the LED display.
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "NSP-280X" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will emit a confirmation sound, and the Bluetooth icon will stop flashing. You can now play audio wirelessly from your device within a range of up to 30 feet.

5.2 True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Function

The TWS feature allows you to pair two NSP-280X speakers together for a stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both NSP-280X speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode.
  2. On one of the speakers (this will be your primary speaker), press and hold the TWS button (if available, or a designated pairing button) until you hear a pairing tone.
  3. The two speakers will automatically connect to each other. Once connected, the primary speaker will indicate TWS pairing.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 5.1. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

5.3 USB/SD Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or SD card (containing MP3 audio files) into the respective port on the control panel.
  2. The speaker will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playing the audio files.
  3. Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) on the speaker or remote control to manage your music.

5.4 FM Radio Mode

  1. Press the 'MODE' button on the control panel or remote control until 'FM' appears on the LED display.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button to initiate an automatic scan for FM radio stations. The speaker will save detected stations.
  3. Use the Next/Previous Track buttons to navigate through the saved FM stations.

5.5 Auxiliary Input

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX input port on the speaker.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
  3. Press the 'MODE' button until 'AUX' appears on the LED display.
  4. Play audio from your external device. Adjust volume using the MAIN VOL knob on the speaker or your device.

5.6 Microphone and Guitar Input

  1. Connect your microphone to the 'MIC IN' port and/or your guitar to the 'GT IN' port.
  2. Adjust the 'M.VOL' knob for microphone volume and 'GT.VOL' knob for guitar volume.
  3. Use the 'ECHO' knob to add an echo effect to the microphone.
  4. These inputs can be used simultaneously with other audio sources (Bluetooth, USB, SD, AUX, FM).

5.7 Sound Activated Lights

  • The multi-color LED lights on the woofers activate with sound by default.
  • To turn the lights off or on, use the 'LED ON/OFF' switch on the control panel.

5.8 Sound Adjustment

  • Use the 'BASS' knob to increase or decrease the low-frequency output.
  • Use the 'TREBLE' knob to increase or decrease the high-frequency output.
  • Adjust the overall volume using the 'MAIN VOL' knob.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the speaker with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Ensure no liquids enter the speaker grilles or control panel.

6.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, fully charge the speaker before first use.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
  • If storing the speaker for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% every 3-6 months.

6.3 Storage

  • Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the speaker covered to prevent dust accumulation.
