Setup and Initial Use
Before first use, it is crucial to perform an initial cleaning and system flush to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
1. Water Tank Installation and Filling
Ensure the removable 35 oz water tank is properly seated at the back of the machine. Fill the tank with fresh, filtered water up to the MAX level indicated. The tank features a silicone cover to protect the valve at the bottom.

2. Initial System Flush
After filling the water tank, turn on the machine. Once the machine is pre-heated (indicated by the main switch light becoming solid blue), place a cup under the steam wand. Rotate the steam knob to release hot water through the wand for a few seconds. This helps to prime the pump and clean the internal system. Repeat this process for the brew head by placing a cup under the portafilter and pressing the single shot button to dispense hot water.

Operating Instructions
1. Making Espresso
For optimal espresso, use fine-ground coffee beans. Fill the portafilter basket with the desired amount of ground coffee (1 spoon for single shot, 2 spoons for double shot). Tamp the grounds lightly and evenly, ensuring they are below the MAX line. Attach the portafilter to the brew head and lock it into place. Place your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray. Once the machine is ready (all blue lights solid), press the single or double shot button to begin brewing. Monitor the pressure gauge for optimal extraction (within the espresso range).

2. Frothing Milk
Fill a stainless steel pitcher with cold milk (41-45°F). Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Rotate the steam knob to activate the steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create microfoam. Once the milk has doubled in volume and reached the desired temperature (around 140-150°F), close the steam knob. Immediately clean the steam wand after use.

3. Hot Water Function

4. Customizing Brew Settings
The machine comes with factory default settings for single (25-60ml) and double (60-130ml) shots. To customize these volumes, press and hold the desired brew button (single or double) until the desired amount of espresso is dispensed. Release the button to save the new setting. The machine will emit a beep to confirm the new volume. To reset to factory defaults, press and hold the single shot and power buttons simultaneously for more than 3 seconds.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and optimal performance of your espresso machine.
1. Daily Cleaning
After each use, remove the portafilter and discard the used coffee grounds. Rinse the portafilter and filter basket under running water. Empty and clean the drip tray. Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. For the steam wand, immediately after frothing, wipe it with a damp cloth and purge a small amount of steam to clear any milk residue from the nozzle.

2. Descaling
The machine features a descaling function to remove mineral buildup. The machine will indicate when descaling is needed (e.g., power button and steam button blue light flashing simultaneously for 10 seconds, with a buzzer sound). Follow the instructions in the full user manual for the complete descaling process using a suitable descaling solution.
