1. Introduction

3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Sparkleiot Mini WiFi Smart Plug:

1. Download the App: Scan the QR code below or search for "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android).

2. Plug In the Smart Plug: Insert the smart plug into a standard three-pin wall socket. Ensure it is not installed side-by-side with another plug in a two-pin socket to avoid issues.

3. Reset the Device: Long press the power button on the smart plug until the LED indicator blinks rapidly. This puts the device into pairing mode.

4. Connect to Wi-Fi:
   • Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The smart plug does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
   • Open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart APP and log in or sign up.
   • Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner to add a device.
   • Select "Electrical" > "Socket (Wi-Fi)" or allow the app to auto-scan.
   • Follow the in-app instructions to confirm the indicator is blinking rapidly and enter your Wi-Fi password.
   • The app will then scan for and add the device. Once successfully added, you can rename the smart plug.

4.1. Manual Control

Press the power button on the side of the smart plug to manually turn the connected appliance on or off.

  • Verify that your phone is connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during setup.
  • Check your Wi-Fi signal strength. Move the smart plug closer to your router if the signal is weak.
  • Confirm you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password.
  • Try resetting the smart plug (long press button until LED blinks rapidly) and attempting the setup process again.
• Voice control not working:
  • Ensure your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Assistant app.
  • Check that the smart plug is online and responsive in the Smart Life/Tuya Smart APP.
  • Use the exact device name you set in the app when giving voice commands.
• Plug unresponsive:
  • Check if the smart plug is receiving power. The LED indicator should be on.
  • If the plug is connected to a high-power appliance, ensure it does not exceed the 10A maximum load. Overload protection may have activated.
  • Unplug the smart plug for 10 seconds, then plug it back in to perform a soft reset.
