It operates on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and includes timer functions for enhanced control.

2. Safety Information

  • This smart home outlet only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and secure.
  • The maximum load current of the smart home plug is 10A. Do not exceed this rating to prevent overload.
  • The product features overload protection and a fire-retardant casing for safety.
  • It is recommended to install this round Tuya smart plug on a three-pin socket. It is not recommended to install two plugs side by side on a two-pin socket, as this may cause instability or block the second outlet.
  • Handle the plug with care; avoid dropping it to prevent internal damage or noise during use.

5. Setup Instructions

5.1. Download the Smart Life / Tuya App

The Sparkleiot Smart Plug requires the Smart Life App or Tuya App for initial setup and control. Scan the QR code below or search for "Smart Life" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android).

5.2. Register / Log In

Open the Smart Life or Tuya App. If you are a new user, register for an account. If you already have an account, log in. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

5.3. Add Device

  1. Plug the smart plug into a power outlet.
  2. Reset the device: Long press the power button on the smart plug for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light begins to blink rapidly. This indicates it's in pairing mode.
  3. In the Smart Life/Tuya App, click on "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the upper right corner.
  4. Select the corresponding device type (e.g., "Electrical" > "Socket (Wi-Fi)" or "Plug (Wi-Fi)").
  5. Confirm that the indicator light on the plug is blinking rapidly in the app.
  6. Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the pairing process. The device will be added successfully once connected.

  • Avoid Overload: Always ensure that the connected appliance's power consumption does not exceed the plug's maximum load current of 10A.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The plug does not support 5GHz networks.
    • Verify that your Wi-Fi password is correct.
    • Make sure the smart plug is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
    • Reset the smart plug by long-pressing the power button until the indicator blinks rapidly, then try pairing again.
    • Restart your Wi-Fi router.
  • Voice control not working:
    • Ensure your Smart Life/Tuya account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home app.
    • Check the device name in the Smart Life/Tuya App and use that exact name for voice commands.
    • Verify that your smart speaker is connected to the internet.
  • Plug making noise:

  • Plug not responding:
    • Check if the plug is receiving power.
    • Verify the Wi-Fi connection status in the app.
