2. Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The 20V 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery requires approximately 3 hours for a full charge. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.

• Connect the battery charger to a standard electrical outlet.
• Insert the 20V 4.0Ah battery into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
• Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

5.2 Installing the Battery

• Open the battery compartment cover on top of the vacuum.
• Align the charged battery with the battery slot and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
• Close the battery compartment cover.

5.3 Attaching the Hose and Accessories

• For vacuuming, insert the hose into the suction port on the front of the vacuum until it is firmly seated.
• For the blower function, insert the hose into the exhaust port on the side of the vacuum.
• Select the appropriate accessory (e.g., crevice nozzle, wide nozzle, round brush, upholstery tool) and attach it to the end of the hose.

6. Operating Instructions

The JIENUO shop vac offers three primary functions: wet vacuuming, dry vacuuming, and blowing.

6.1 Powering On/Off

Press the power switch located on the top of the unit to turn the vacuum on or off.

6.2 Dry Vacuuming

Ensure the HEPA filter is clean and properly installed for dry vacuuming. Attach the hose to the suction port and select a suitable nozzle for the task.

6.3 Wet Vacuuming

When vacuuming liquids, ensure the HEPA filter is clean. The vacuum is designed to handle wet debris without needing to change the filter element. Do not overfill the tank; monitor the liquid level. Empty the tank immediately after wet vacuuming.

6.4 Blower Function

To use the blower function, attach the hose to the exhaust port. This function is ideal for clearing leaves, dust, or drying surfaces.

6.5 Portability and Storage

The vacuum is designed for easy transport with its integrated handle and included shoulder strap. Accessories can be stored on the unit itself.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Emptying the Tank

After each use, especially after wet vacuuming, empty the tank. Unlatch the side buckles and lift the motor head assembly. Dispose of collected debris or liquids properly.

7.2 Cleaning the HEPA Filter

The HEPA filter is washable and reusable. Regularly clean the filter to maintain optimal suction performance.

• Remove the motor head assembly and carefully detach the HEPA filter.
• Rinse the filter under running water until clean. Do not use harsh detergents.
• Allow the filter to air dry completely before re-installing it into the vacuum. Ensure it is fully dry to prevent mold or damage.
