4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The manometer operates on a single 9V alkaline battery. A battery is typically included but may be non-functional for shipping purposes and requires replacement before first use. To install or replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the rear of the unit.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Connect a new 9V alkaline battery to the battery clip, observing correct polarity.
4. Place the battery into the compartment and replace the cover securely.

4.2 Connecting Tubing

The manometer features two barbed connections for pressure input. These connections are compatible with 1/8" (3.18 mm) or 3/16" (4.76 mm) I.D. vinyl or rubber tubing.

1. Identify the pressure source and the appropriate tubing size.
2. Gently push the tubing onto the barbed connections until a secure fit is achieved.
3. For differential pressure measurements, connect the higher pressure source to one port and the lower pressure source to the other. For positive or negative pressure, connect the source to one port and leave the other open to atmosphere or connect to a reference point.

5.1 Power On/Off

To power the unit on or off, press the ON/OFF button located on the front panel.

5.2 Auto Zero Function

Before taking a measurement, especially for differential or low-pressure readings, it is crucial to zero the instrument. This compensates for any minor offsets.

1. Ensure both pressure ports are open to the atmosphere or connected to the same reference pressure.
2. Press the ZERO button on the front panel. The display will briefly show '0.00' or similar, indicating successful zeroing.

5.3 Unit Selection

The manometer supports various pressure units. To cycle through available units (e.g., psi, bar, inWC, kPa), press the UNITS button on the front panel until the desired unit is displayed.

5.4 Taking Measurements

1. Power on the manometer.
2. Perform the Auto Zero function as described in Section 5.2.
3. Select the desired pressure unit using the UNITS button.
4. Connect the pressure source(s) to the appropriate barbed connections.
5. Read the pressure value directly from the large LCD display.

To maintain the accuracy and longevity of your manometer, keep it clean. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the casing or display. Ensure no moisture enters the pressure ports.

6.2 Storage

When not in use, store the manometer in its provided soft carry case to protect it from dust, impacts, and environmental factors. Store in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature limits of -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C).

• No Display/Unit Not Powering On:
