Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your eKids Disney Frozen Kids Camera. Please read it thoroughly before operating the device and retain it for future reference.
Safety Information
- Battery Safety: This device requires 3x AA batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
- Choking Hazard: Small parts, such as the SD card, can be a choking hazard. Keep out of reach of small children.
- Water Exposure: This camera is not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to water or moisture to prevent damage.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Adult Supervision: Adult supervision is recommended during use, especially for younger children.

- Camera Shutter Button: Press to take photos or start/stop video recording.
- Flash: Provides illumination for photos in low light.
- Frames/Decorations Button: Access digital frames and stickers.
- Home/Mode Select Button (M): Switch between photo, video, review, and game modes.
- Menu Button (three lines icon): Access camera settings.
- Power Button (circle with line): Turn the camera on or off.
- OK/Select Button: Confirm selections.
- Left/Right/Forward Navigation Buttons: Navigate menus and browse photos/videos.
- Reset Button: Use a thin object to press for factory reset.
- Mic: Records audio during video recording.
- Speaker: Plays audio from videos.
- Display: 2-inch color screen for viewing and navigating.
- SD Card Slot: Insert the included 512MB SD card for storage.
- Micro USB Port: Connect to a computer for file transfer.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 3x AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. SD Card Installation
- Locate the SD card slot next to the battery compartment.
- Insert the included 512MB SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
- To remove, gently push the SD card until it clicks out, then pull it out.

3. Powering On/Off
- To turn on: Press and hold the Power Button (circle with line) for a few seconds.
- To turn off: Press and hold the Power Button again until the screen turns off.
Operating the Camera
1. Taking Photos
- Turn on the camera. It will typically start in photo mode. If not, press the Home/Mode Select Button (M) until the photo icon is displayed.
- Aim the camera at your subject.
- Press the Camera Shutter Button to take a photo. The flash will activate automatically if needed.

2. Recording Videos
- Turn on the camera. Press the Home/Mode Select Button (M) until the video camera icon is displayed.
- Press the Camera Shutter Button once to start recording. A red dot or recording indicator will appear on the screen.
- Press the Camera Shutter Button again to stop recording.
3. Using Digital Frames and Stickers
The camera includes over 25 built-in digital frames and stickers to decorate your photos.
- In photo mode, press the Frames/Decorations Button (smiley face icon).
- Use the Left/Right Navigation Buttons to browse through the available frames and stickers.
- Press the OK/Select Button to choose a frame or sticker.
- Take your photo as usual with the selected decoration applied.

4. Viewing Photos and Videos
- Press the Home/Mode Select Button (M) until the playback/review icon is displayed.
- Use the Left/Right Navigation Buttons to scroll through your saved photos and videos.
- Press the OK/Select Button to view a photo or play a video.
5. Transferring Files to a Computer
- Ensure the camera is turned off.
- Connect the camera to your computer using the included Micro USB cable.
- The camera should appear as a removable disk drive on your computer.
- Open the drive to access and copy your photos and videos.
- Safely eject the camera from your computer before disconnecting the cable.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the camera exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods.
- SD Card Care: Handle the SD card carefully. Avoid bending or scratching it.
Troubleshooting
- Camera does not turn on:
- Check if batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity.
- Replace with fresh AA batteries.
- Ensure the Power Button is pressed and held for a few seconds. - Cannot take photos/record videos:
- Ensure an SD card is properly inserted.
- Check if the SD card has sufficient free space. Delete old files or use a new card if full.
- The camera might be in a different mode (e.g., playback). Press the Home/Mode Select Button (M) to switch to photo or video mode. - Poor image/video quality:
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free of smudges.
- Check lighting conditions. Use the flash in low light.
- Ensure the subject is within appropriate distance for the camera's focus. - Camera freezes or becomes unresponsive:
- Press the Reset Button using a thin, pointed object (like a paperclip). This will restart the camera without deleting data. - Cannot transfer files to computer:
- Ensure the camera is turned off before connecting to the computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Ensure the Micro USB cable is securely connected to both the camera and the computer.
