Setup
1. Battery Installation
The VIZIO XRT260 remote control requires two (2) 1.5V AAA batteries (not included). To install the batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
- Insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Initial Pairing (for Voice Control)
The VIZIO XRT260 remote control is designed to work immediately with compatible VIZIO TVs without programming for basic functions. However, to enable voice control features, pairing is required. Follow these steps:
- Ensure your TV is powered on.
- On the remote, press and hold the Microphone button and the Mute button simultaneously for approximately 3 to 5 seconds.
- A light near the top of the remote will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your TV screen, a message will appear prompting you to select "Pair Remote". Press the OK button on the remote.
- Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process. The TV will display a confirmation message upon successful pairing.

Note: If pairing is unsuccessful, try unpairing any previously connected remotes from your TV's settings menu (Menu > System > Voice Remote > Unpair Remote) before attempting to pair the new remote again.
Operating Instructions
Once batteries are installed and the remote is paired (if voice control is desired), you can begin using your VIZIO XRT260 remote control to manage your television.
- Basic Functions: Use the Power, Input, Volume, and Mute buttons for fundamental TV control.
- Navigation: Use the directional pad and OK button to navigate menus, select options, and control media playback.
- Quick App Access: Press any of the dedicated app buttons (Peacock, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Crackle, Tubi) to instantly launch your favorite streaming services.
- Voice Control: Press and hold the Microphone button, then speak your command clearly. Release the button when finished speaking.
