3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel LEDs

The front panel features LED indicators that provide information about the router's status.

  • Power LED: Indicates power status. Solid green for normal operation.
  • Internet LED: Indicates internet connection status. Solid green when connected.
  • Wi-Fi LEDs (2.4GHz & 5GHz): Indicate wireless network activity. Solid green when Wi-Fi is enabled.
  • LAN LEDs: Indicate connection status for wired devices.
  • USB LED (if applicable): Indicates USB port status.

3.2 Rear Panel Ports and Buttons

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Hardware Connection

  1. Power Off: Disconnect the power from your modem and router (if applicable).
  2. Connect Modem: Connect the WAN port of the Archer C80 to your modem's Ethernet port using an Ethernet cable.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the router's power port and plug it into a power outlet.
  4. Power On: Power on your modem first, wait for it to fully boot up (usually indicated by stable internet LED), then power on your Archer C80 router.
  5. Connect Device: Connect your computer or mobile device to the router. You can connect via Ethernet cable to a LAN port or wirelessly using the default Wi-Fi SSID and password printed on the label at the bottom of the router.

4.2 Quick Setup via Web Browser

  1. Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) on a device connected to the router.
  2. Type http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Create a new login password when prompted.
  4. Follow the on-screen Quick Setup wizard to configure your internet connection and wireless settings.

4.3 Setup via TP-Link Tether App

  1. Download the TP-Link Tether app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Enable Wi-Fi on your smartphone and connect to the router's default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password on the router's label).
  3. Launch the Tether app and follow the instructions to set up your router.

5. Operating Your Router
