4. Setup
- Powering the Machine: Connect the AC/DC power adapter to the machine and a power outlet, or insert 4x AA batteries into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the machine. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity. If using the power adapter, remove batteries.
- Attaching the Foot Pedal: Plug the foot pedal into the designated port on the side of the machine. This allows for hands-free speed control.
- Attaching the Extension Table: Slide the extension table onto the machine's free arm until it clicks securely into place. This provides a larger work surface for your projects.

5. Threading Your Machine
Proper threading is crucial for smooth operation. Follow these steps carefully:
- Insert Upper Bobbin: Place a spool of thread onto the upper bobbin pin.
- Pass Through First Guide: Guide the thread through the first thread guide.
- Over Tension Screw: Pass the thread over the tension screw, ensuring it is positioned between the two washers.
- Through Second Guide: Pull the thread through the second guide.
- Through Take-up Lever: Thread through the take-up lever.
- Through Fourth Guide: Pull the thread downward through the fourth guide.
- Through Fifth Guide: Pull the thread through the fifth guide, located near the needle.
- Thread the Needle: Insert the thread through the eye of the needle from left to right. Do not insert from right to left.
- Insert Bottom Bobbin: Open the bobbin cover and insert a pre-wound bobbin into the bobbin case. Ensure the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
- Pull Out Bottom Bobbin Thread: Hold the upper thread and turn the hand-wheel counter-clockwise to lower the needle, catching the bobbin thread. Pull both threads out from under the presser foot.
- Lift Presser Foot: Use the presser foot lifter to raise the presser foot.
- Hold Thread Down: Hold the upper thread down while turning the hand-wheel counter-clockwise to bring the bobbin thread up.
- Close Bobbin Cover: Securely close the bobbin cover.

6. Operating Your Machine
- Prepare Fabric: Place your fabric under the presser foot, ensuring the needle is aligned with your desired stitch line.
- Lower Presser Foot: Use the presser foot lifter to lower the presser foot onto the fabric.
- Lower Needle: Turn the hand-wheel clockwise to manually lower the needle into the fabric before starting to sew.
- Start Sewing: Use the foot pedal or the ON/OFF switch on the machine to start sewing. The machine has dual speed settings (High/Low) which can be adjusted via a switch.
- Use LED Light: Turn on the LED light for better visibility of your sewing area, especially for intricate work or in low light conditions.
- Guide Fabric: Gently guide the fabric with both hands, keeping it flat and moving it steadily. Do not pull or push the fabric forcefully.
- Finish Sewing: When you reach the end of your stitch, stop the machine, raise the needle to its highest position, lift the presser foot, and gently pull the fabric away. Cut the threads using the built-in thread cutter or scissors.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the bobbin area and under the needle plate with a small brush to remove lint and thread scraps.
- Needle Replacement: If the needle becomes dull, bent, or breaks, replace it immediately. Loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, insert a new needle with the flat side facing the back, and tighten the screw.
- Storage: When not in use, store the machine in its storage pouch in a dry, clean place away from direct sunlight.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine not starting | No power, foot pedal not connected, ON/OFF switch off. | Check power adapter/batteries, ensure foot pedal is plugged in, turn ON/OFF switch to ON. |
| Skipped stitches | Incorrect threading, bent needle, wrong needle size for fabric. | Re-thread the machine carefully, replace the needle, use appropriate needle for fabric type. |
| Thread breaking | Incorrect tension, poor quality thread, needle inserted incorrectly. | Adjust tension, use good quality thread, ensure needle is correctly inserted. |
| Fabric jamming | Needle not lowered before starting, pulling fabric too hard. | Always lower needle into fabric before starting, gently guide fabric. |
